Earn awesome bonuses by resetting monkeys!

You can now earn Deja Vu Tokens by resetting monkeys. Spend these tokens on awesome bonuses!

How this works:

Play your favourite Monkey over again for more score and bonuses! Here is the breakdown:
  • Reset any completed monkey by clicking the reset button at the bottom of the stage select screen
  • This will bring up a confirmation dialog that shows how many Deja Vu Tokens will be earned and what will be lost from the monkey. Note: your score and the trophy room for a monkey will not be lost. The following items will be reset:
    • All Prizes for the selected monkey.
    • All Gold and Area Tokens.
    • Extra banana hammers for the selected monkey earned by completing stages.
    • All stars.
    • All multipliers.
    • All Monkey hammers above the value of hammers a reset leaves you with earned from a banana feed.
  • The number of Deja Vu tokens you earn will be based on your score since your last reset. The higher score you have the more tokens you get!
  • Since no score is lost, you can increase your current score in the rankings by having another chance to multiply all the prizes.
  • Spend your Deja Vu Tokens on Deja Vu Bonuses in the Deja Vu Bonuses Dialog at the top of the monkey islands screen. They can be spent on the following awesome bonuses:
    • More Star Wins.
    • More Multipliers Wins.
    • More Prize Wins.

Get Your Scare On in Bush Whacker 2

Hallowe'en is Coming to Bushwhackia!

Who doesn't love a good haunted mansion? Well, that's what Hallowe'en in Bushwhackia is all about! But to decorate your very own, you need to do what you do best! Go out into the world and whack bushes to find Pumpkins. Once you have found a patch of pumpkins, you can buy decorations from Glenda outside the mansion, or from the "Store" button while you're in Build Mode inside. Once you feel you've got enough, start laying out your design inside. (You can also purchase the same decorations for Bush Bucks from the Cop in the event area.)

You do not have to place all your collected decorations on display in the Mansion in order for them to count towards "Hallowe'en Completionist," they will count so long as they are within your inventory!

The goal is to scare the pants off the 8 children standing in front of the house, all of varying levels of bravery. The more you scare them, the more candy you'll earn in return. And you're going to want that candy so you can trade it for items at the event store! You can try scaring them every 20 hours after you scared them the first time.

Glenda the Good Witch just isn't for buying decorations with Pumpkins though. You'll be getting several quests from her throughout the event for special interactive decorations. You will need all four to complete the "Hallowe'en Completionist" achievement. As you complete each of her four quests, you can request help from your friends* by talking to the Construction Worker to increase the decoration's scariness.

*Platforms which do not support Friend Lists will have an adjusted static scariness.

The Haunted Mansion Photo Contest will be starting soon!

Gotta Collect them all!

What can possibly make your house scarier? How about some Creatures which wander around your mansion! Each creature will become available which you can then request from friends* by talking to the the Cop. You'll need one of each creature to complete the "Hallowe'en Completionist" achievement; if you miss a creature, you can still purchase one from the Cop for Bush Bucks.

Creatures are available on the following schedule:
Black Cats - AVAILABLE at Event launch, UNTIL Sun Oct 25, 11:59:59 AM PDT
Witches - AVAILABLE Sun Oct 25, Noon PDT UNTIL Tues Oct 27, 11:59:59 AM PDT
Zombies - AVAILABLE Tues Oct 27, Noon PDT UNTIL Thurs Oct 29, 11:59:59 AM PDT
Bats - AVAILABLE Thurs Oct 29, Noon PDT UNTIL Sat Oct 31, 11:59:59 AM PDT
Spiders - AVAILABLE Sat Oct 31, Noon PDT UNTIL Mon Nov 2, 11:59:59 AM PST
Vampires - AVAILABLE Mon Nov 2, Noon PST UNTIL Wed Nov 4, 11:59:59 AM PST
Franken-Dogs - AVAILABLE Wed Nov 4, Noon PST UNTIL Event End

*Platforms which do not support Friends Lists can receive a single creature for free as they become available, by speaking to the Cop.

Candy! Candy! Candy!

To buy the custom items, you need your Candy! Not only do you get it from scaring those insolent little kiddies, you also net some from completing the various quests given to you by the Halloween NPCs hanging out in the event area!

Plus from October 31st until the end of the event, you can hunt down denizens of Bushwhackia and Trick-or-Treat with them for Candy goodness! There will be a spooky character standing in front of a pile of Candy in each of the major areas! So 1 in the Mysterious Forest, 1 in the Shady Detour, etc. NPCs have been added up to Cloudland!

New for 2015:
We've added a new quest to the event which will generate a random Daily quest available until the end of the event!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can I find the Pumpkins?
Just keep whacking. The Holiday Item runes and pets will help attract them as well.

  • How do I decorate my Mansion?
You need to whack up Pumpkins. You can buy decorations from Glenda in the event area, or from the Store when you're in Build mode inside the Mansion. Once you have decorations, you can place them like you're decorating your ranch using Build mode.

  • How do I get the Hallowe'en Completionist achievement?
You need to buy each of the decorations available for Pumpkins, as well as make all 4 decorations that Glenda offers you along with getting at least 1 of each of the Creatures the Cop will let you request from your friends. You don't have to place them in your mansion though.

  • How do I scare the Kids?
Just keep buying decorations and getting friends to up the scare level of your interactive decorations. As your event progress increases, you will scare the kids more and more.

  • Does the Timey-Wimey watch or Time Turner affect the Kids?
No, the kids do not have quest cooldowns, so trinket effects that work for quests will not apply to them.

  • What adds to my event progress?
Making your mansion as scary as possible by buying decorations (but you don't have to place them all.)

  • Do I have to do the achievements?
No. Completing the goals for the achievements is totally optional. You get either a large energy pack or a title for your character from them, no event progress.

  • Where can I see all the achievements available and how to get them?
Either on the holiday dialog, the achievements dialog, or on the blog.

Generation 5 Pets Are Here!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Get ready to be overrun with selection and cuteness! New Generation 5 pets are now available!

Those weirdly random abandoned eggs scattered all over Bushwachkia have been switched up and all new pets are ready to hatch when you accept the "Find an Egg" quest from Misty. She will also have all the Generation 5 eggs available to purchase for Bush Bucks during the "Find an Egg" quest.

Other changes to Misty and Hank for Generation 5:
  • Misty will no longer let players abandon Gen 4 pet eggs that they are hatching (they're now too rare). Only current generation pet eggs can be abandoned during hatching. Please note that if you're in the middle of hatching a pet, then that egg will still hatch into whatever pet it would have been before.

  • Generation 4 pet eggs can now be found in Quester's Satchels (with the same limitations as the Generation 1, 2 and 3 eggs, which will still be available in satchels as well). Generation 4 pet eggs are now more expensive to buy with DNA in the PAGAS store.

  • Hank now sells a random assortment of Generation 5 pets (instead of Generation 4) for Bush Bucks.

PAGAS changes for Generation 5:
  • Generation 5 pet eggs are now available to buy with DNA in the PAGAS store, however you cannot buy any of them until you have at least five (5) Generation 5 pets.

  • The Pet Progress dialog now includes Generation 5 pets. 10 new pets that all players can unlock!

And now, without further ado, the information you've all been waiting for:
Generation 5 Pets:
  • Bat
  • Fox
  • Gazelle
  • Gerbil
  • Jaguar
  • Moth
  • Platypus
  • Snowy Owl
  • Wasp
  • Zebra

Upgraded Buffs!

Introducing New Buffs

Over the past few weeks we've received a lot of feedback from players regarding clicking related buff cards found in chests. Based upon this feedback, we decided to replace a couple of the clicking related buff cards in the game with different, and hopefully more interesting, buff cards. This week we ran a poll in-game to gather additional feedback, and based upon that and our own internal discussions we've made a few changes to the buff cards in-game:

The buff cards that used to increase your Critical Click Damage Multiplier now increase Monster Spawn Speed instead. This new buff type allows you to progress through easier levels much, much faster, though it's efficacy trails off as you're no longer able to quickly kill your enemies. We expect this buff to be prized by players attempting to speed through the first hundred levels or so of a reset.

The buff cards that used to multiply your Base Click Damage now cause a percentage of your DPS to hit all active enemies. This new buff type allows you to mow through large groups of enemies with a much higher efficiency. The more enemies on your screen, the higher the effectiveness of this buff, assuming you don't get overrun. We expect this buff to be useful in giving you that extra boost you need to overcome a difficult boss encounter.

The buff cards the used to increase your Critical Click Chance now also increase your Critical Click Damage Multiplier. This card absorbed the effect from one of the cards that had its effect replaced, making it much more powerful as it buffs two important clicking stats at once.

Overall we hope that the changes make the consumable buff cards feel a little more powerful and thus a little more desirable, such that an otherwise exciting chest opening won't be spoiled by a buff card you'll never use.

FAQ

How exactly do the new Spawn Speed buff cards work?

The Spawn Speed buff cards increase the velocity at which new monsters appear on screen. If you're quickly killing monsters as they spawn, this means that they'll be attackable much sooner after they've appeared. These buff cards do not decrease the time between wave spawns if you are unable to kill a wave before the next one appears.

How exactly do the new Splash Damage buff cards work?

A percentage of your total DPS will be applied to all attackable monsters on the screen. Your total DPS will still attack the front-most enemy. This buff does not affect clicked damage, but does stack with DPS increasing buffs.

What happens to the old buff cards I had?

All of your Critical Click Damage Multiplier buff cards will be replaced 1-to-1 with Spawn Speed buff cards. All of your Click Damage Multiplier buff cards will be replaced 1-to-1 with Splash Damage buff cards. All of your Critical Click Chance buff cards now also increase your Critical Click Damage Multiplier.

Don't the Spawn Speed buff cards make speed run objectives/achievements trivial?

Yup, we thought of it. Speed based objectives disable the Spawn Speed buff cards so you can't use them while on the objective, and using a Spawn Speed buff card during a run will invalidate you from earning the current speed based achievement. Look for special restrictions/caveats on achievements and objectives in the future for specific details on which buffs are allowed.
