It's time for the last hurrah of summer, so relax poolside (you just have to build it first!) and experience the joy of fostering an adorable puppy!

Once the pool is built, there are three turn-in stations and new quest lines have been added to the event this year to keep things fresh and interesting. Make sure you have reached the Commons via the Mysterious Forest so you can take part in all the new questy goodness!

Let's break this event down:

Who Let The Dogs Out?

You can get started right away on the Dog part of the event, just speak to Nate and give a home to one of the 'surplus' puppies Nate managed to order for himself. These puppies can be adopted permanently at the end of the event (please see your platform for the appropriate cost/tax). Once you've adopted your chosen pup, Nate will give you the first of six daily quests (which repeat if you miss them!) and get you on your way to raising a proper pet!

Ain't No Party Like A Poolside Party!

Talk to the Pool Builder to get started on building a pool in the event area, as that will allow the rest of the event to unlock. She'll have you go through three quests of finding pool parts, and once the pool is totally finished, residents will filter in to take up their appropriate spots. We've added three new quest lines, which will unlock over the course of the first ten days of the event.

There are EIGHT possible Achievements in the Dog Days of Summer 2014 event:

Repeating Achievements in 2014:

• Pool Digger - Build the Pool for the Dog Days event. (Large Energy Pack)
• Safety First! - Help at each pool-side station during the event. (Large Energy Pack)
  • Safety to the Max! - Help at each pool station 50 times (Title: Summer Saver) - must first complete "Safety First!"
• Doggy Daycare - Complete all the doggy dailies (Large Energy Pack)
• Man's Best Friend- Level your doggy pet up to level 10 (Large Energy Pack)

Added/Changed for 2014:

• Training Day - Complete all the puppy training quests (Large Energy Pack)
• Dog Days Outlet - Buy all the custom items for 2014. (Large Energy Pack)

We have 1 achievements from last year's event, which may be earned by spending some Bush Bucks, if a player was not present/didn't earn it during the initial year:

VIP Membership Details:

• Premium purchased membership for 30 consecutive days; each 30 day membership earns you 3 VIP tokens
• When a Membership is active:
  • Purchases of Bush Bucks will award VIP Tokens which can be used to enable super cool buffs (minimum $5 purchase).
  • Number of Tokens received scales up with the size of larger Bush Buck packages
  • Successive purchase of Bush Bucks earns the player progress on towards greater awards.
• Bush Buck purchases made without a membership will not earn VIP tokens
• Players who made purchases before the VIP Program was added to the game will receive a number of free VIP Tokens, based on the number of previous purchases; players will receive these tokens the first time they open the "VIP" dialogue - they do not have to have an active membership to earn these tokens, but a membership must be activated to redeem the tokens
• VIP Tokens may very rarely be found in Quester's Satchels

VIP Powers

• Redeemable for VIP Tokens
• Multiple powers can be active at any given time, but a VIP membership MUST be active for a power to have effect (except when activated by a VIP Voucher).
• If membership runs out while power is still active, power will continue to run down to its stated expiry. Membership will need to be renewed in order to regain the buff. Renewing your membership will not regain lost time.
• If a player's membership is about to expire and they attempt to redeem a Token, a prompt will appear to indicate the Membership's expiry date, and prompt for renewal.
• Powers can only be activated if a Membership is valid (except when activated with a VIP Voucher).
• Buff Powers cost 1 VIP Token and unless otherwise noted, last for 14 days:

How VIP Works:

• Each time the player receives VIP Tokens, they earn points towards leveling up their VIP level
• When a player levels up, they receive a one-time reward of VIP Token/Bush Buck rewards
• All VIP members start at Level 1. At:
  • ...Level 2 = 10 Tokens; Rewards 1 extra token.
  • ...Level 3 = 20 Tokens; Rewards 2 extra tokens and 50 Bush Bucks.
  • ...Level 4 = 40 Tokens; Rewards 4 extra tokens and 100 Bush Bucks.
  • ...Level 5 = 60 Tokens; Rewards 6 extra tokens and 200 Bush Bucks.
  • ...Level 6 = 80 Tokens; Rewards 8 extra tokens and 300 Bush Bucks.
  • ...Level 7 = 100 Tokens; Rewards 10 extra tokens and 400 Bush Bucks.

The "Wheel of Fun" (1 Token per spin)

• Win Bush Bucks, gold, energy, mana, power, or gems.
• A large Bush Buck jackpot can also be won.
• Jackpot grows as players spin the wheel.
• Each spin awards points on the "Wheel of Fun" leaderboard.

VIP Vouchers:

• Can be won uncommonly in Quester's Satchels.
• Does not contribute toward VIP levels.
• Can be used to activate certain VIP Powers:
• Leveller's Boon for 5 days
• Quester's Boon for 5 days
• Perpetual Motion for 5 days
• Maxed Out for 5 days
• Farming Nut for 5 days
• Eventer's Boon for 5 days
• Can be used to activate Powers even if a membership is not active. Powers activated with a Voucher are not affected by memberships expiring.

VIP Leaderboards

• VIPs with an active membership will gain access to unique leaderboards, which track:
• ...getting to max level after new content is released (Membership must be active prior to reaching cap to be included)
• ...holiday completion percentage
• ...Wheel of Fun wins (each spin is worth a certain number of points based on what you won)
• People who become VIP are placed on the leaderboards at that time (in the case of the max level board, their "time" that they reached their current level is set to the time they became VIP)
• If membership expires, a player will be removed from the leaderboard until their membership is reactivated. When the membership is reactivated, they will once again appear on the appropriate leaderboards.

The eighth installment of Investigator Kaine Mysteries is now available!

Our intrepid Inspector has been asked to solve a mystery in the depths of the Jungle Zone, and find a missing heir so that they can claim their rightful family inheritance. Of course, it's never quite that simple if Kaine is asked to get involved!

Players must have completed:

• All previous Kaine adventures, up to and including the Kaine Evil Hat Mystery
• The 2nd puzzle in the 3rd field in Jungle Temple (4th in the Jungle Zone).

Do you match the quest prerequisites? Awesome! Take your whacking bad self on over to talk to the Town Crier in the Commons, and he'll get you started!

Bush Whackers rejoice; the next harrowing tale in the chronicles of Nate Dragon, Intrepid Adventurer has just been released! This installment will take you into the most recently released areas of the game, and contains the answers to the mysteries of the universe!

Well, one of those statements might be true. What IS factual however, are the following requirements.

Players must have completed:

• - Nate's Underwater Adventure
• - Puzzle 1 of the Field 1 in the Incandescent Ascent (Area 3 in the Volcano expansion).

If you satisfy those requirements, then warp to the Commons and talk to the Town Crier to get started on your latest adventure!

Introducing Natalie Dragon!
The last of the real estate in the Commons is finally being developed - and it's been leased to none other than the famous Nat Dragon! You know, the older sister of our favourite, loved (to hate) oaf. Check all the details below and start helping her find her forever home!

Quest Requirements:
You must have completed all previous buildings in the Commons, up to and including the outdoor theatre. If you completed the theatre, Natalie will be standing close to it, and you can begin helping her. Have fun with her!

Mini Golf Vendor

For those who have been waiting, we have a new Amicus Island Vendor! For anyone who missed grabbing the Mini Golf pieces during the Summer Sports Event this year, we have a new Vendor who is permanently installed on the left side of the open air market place.

If you missed the six basic pieces released with the Sports event in May/June, you can find them there, as well as the Patriot firework piece, and the Carnival Whack-A-Gopher piece. She also has a new piece, as specially requested by players - a "T" shot!
