Gotta find 'em all!

A new selection of critters are now available to be your companions!

Those weirdly random abandoned eggs scattered all over Bushwhackia have been switched up and all new pets are ready to hatch when you accept the "Find an Egg" quest from Misty. She will also have all the Generation 16 eggs available to purchase for Bush Bucks during the "Find an Egg" quest.


Other changes to Misty and Hank for Generation 17:

  • Misty will no longer let players abandon Gen 16 pet eggs that they are hatching (they're now too rare). Only current generation pet eggs can be abandoned during hatching. Please note that if you're in the middle of hatching a pet, then that egg will still hatch into whatever pet it would have been before.

  • Generation 16 pet eggs can now be found in Quester's Satchels (with the same limitations as the Generation 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 eggs, which will still be available in satchels as well.)

  • Hank now sells a random assortment of hatched level 1 Generation 17 pets (instead of Generation 16) for Bush Bucks in his pet store.

PAGAS changes for Generation 17:

  • Generation 17 pet eggs are available to buy with DNA in the PAGAS store, once you have hatched at least five Generation 17 pets. This include 8 unique variations of the new pets.

  • The Pet Progress dialog now includes Generation 17 pets. Another 18 new pets that all players can unlock!

  • Added 1050 unique pet collection reward: 10k Nutritious Training Kibble

  • Added 1100 unique pet collection reward: Menagerie Maniac Title

A Visitor From the Far Far Ranch

The Far Far Ranch is far far away, but there's a visitor that's brought a piece of it to the Commons!

Bea's visiting from the Far Far Ranch and has brought three Bubble Buddies to see if they'll thrive in Bushwhackia.

Bubble Buddies

Bubble Buddies are cute bouncy critters that come in an array of looks and abilities! Let's see the three Bea's brought with her:



Buddies eat Bushy Carrots and output Blorts, which Bea will trade you for in her Ye Bouncy Buddy Boutique store. Watch the buddies get bigger and bigger as you feed them!

Buddies will also eat the more rare Spicy Tofu to output Blorts AND a resource unique to that buddy. Here are the buddies and their unique yields:

Dragon Buddy - Gold
Hedgehog Buddy - Gems
Raccoon Buddy - Mana/Power

During Bea's visit, Bushy Carrots and Spicy Tofu can be found in bushes all over Bushwhackia.

Instant Egg Incubation!

Bea's brought a machine that can instantly hatch a basic pet egg! You'll need to whack up a lot of fuel to get it working, via a challenging collection quest. Should you manage it quickly, you can even attempt it a couple more times at the cost of some Bush Bucks to repair the egg machine.

A Feeding Frenzy!

Bea and her buddies leave on Wednesday March 6th, so make the most of the opportunity while you can!

BW2: Generation 16 Pets are Here!

Gotta find 'em all!

A new selection of critters are now available to be your companions!

Those weirdly random abandoned eggs scattered all over Bushwhackia have been switched up and all new pets are ready to hatch when you accept the "Find an Egg" quest from Misty. She will also have all the Generation 16 eggs available to purchase for Bush Bucks during the "Find an Egg" quest.


Other changes to Misty and Hank for Generation 16:

  • Misty will no longer let players abandon Gen 15 pet eggs that they are hatching (they're now too rare). Only current generation pet eggs can be abandoned during hatching. Please note that if you're in the middle of hatching a pet, then that egg will still hatch into whatever pet it would have been before.

  • Generation 15 pet eggs can now be found in Quester's Satchels (with the same limitations as the Generation 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 eggs, which will still be available in satchels as well.)

  • Hank now sells a random assortment of hatched level 1 Generation 16 pets (instead of Generation 15) for Bush Bucks in his pet store.

  • Hank the Farmhand's pet treat chat options show how many of each treat you have. Eg. Level 5 Pet Treat (10), if you have ten level 5 pet treats

PAGAS changes for Generation 16:

  • Generation 16 pet eggs are available to buy with DNA in the PAGAS store, once you have hatched at least five Generation 16 pets. This include 10 unique variations of the new pets.

  • The Pet Progress dialog now includes Generation 16 pets. Another 18 new pets that all players can unlock!

  • Added 1000 unique pet collection reward: Builder of the Flood Ark title & 10k Nutritious Training Kibble

  • Added "Type A-Z", "Owned", and "Unowned" sorting filters to the PAGAS Pet Progress dialog and Clint's Mount Collection dialog

BW2: Pasture Update!

A Peaceful Pasture

Howdy there, Bush Whackers! Take a gander at an all new zone, the Pasture; complete with a Barn that will train your pets for you, earning them XP while you're off on your adventures! Not only that, you can decorate this zone much like your House, Golf Course, and Island.

But hold your horses; You have to unlock it first!

Unlocking the Pasture

There are two phases to unlocking the pasture: the community phase, and the individual phase.

Community Phase

Before each of you can unlock your own Pasture zones, you'll first have to complete a community quest to save derelict barns across Bushwhackia at risk of condemnation by winning a legal battle in Commons Court!

Let the barn battle begin!

Unlocking Your Pasture

The requirements to start unlocking your own pasture zone are the following:

- Level 110+
- Have owned 10 pets
- Have owned 4 mounts
- Progressed to the Deep Swamp or farther

Once you meet these requirements, you'll be able to start a quest chain at Clint or the Town Crier that, once completed, will unlock your own Pasture.

Note: If you skipped the Lower Evergreen Forest zone, you will eventually need to go back and complete it to finish the Pasture quest chain.

Pasture Features

Like your other zones, you can decorate your Pasture to your hearts content and your friends can come visit!

What sets the Pasture apart from your other zones is the Barn!

A Battered Barn

Inside the Barn is room for several Training Pens which you can purchase. 2 pens can be bought for Gold and Gems, another 2 for Bush Bucks, and 2 more for Gold and Gems after you've upgraded your Barn.

Training Pens

Training Pens allow your Pets and Mounts to earn XP while you're away adventuring! This means, among other things, you can keep your high level pets and mounts equipped to optimize your bush whacking, while leveling other ones at the same time. This can help you raise Pets for to release at PAGAS for rarer DNA!

CAUTION: Check in on your mounts regularly if you're raising them for certain bonuses. You'll want to feed them the desired Feed (alfalfa, beans, etc.) between levels.

There are two kinds of Training Pens, ones for Pets and ones for Mounts.



To use a Training Pen:

1) Click on it to open up the Training Pen pop-up
2) Set the occupant
3) Add some Training Kibble.

It's that easy! You'll need to top up a pen's feed at least every week or so. You'll receive a notification on the bottom right if a pen is occupied and out of feed.

If you have enough Training Kibble in your inventory, clicking the "Fill" button will top up the Pen's stockpile to its maximum. Otherwise you'll see a "Buy" button that will take you to the "Ye Tutelage Paddock Supplier" to purchase more kibble.

Training Kibble

There are 2 kinds of Training Kibble you can purchase right from the Training Pen: Training Kibble for Gold and Nutritious Training Kibble for Bush Bucks. Nutritious Training Kibble yields DOUBLE the XP of Training Kibble. Nutritious Training Kibble is a more efficient use of your Bush Bucks compared to buying levels at Hank the Farmhand or Clint, but you have to wait for the results.

The Training Pen popup will tell you the projected XP gains given the current amount of Kibble in the pen.

Barn Embiggening

Some time after having unlocked the Pasture you'll get the opportunity to upgrade the Barn! The requirements for upgrading the Barn are:

- Level 320+
- Have owned 50 pets
- Have owned 20 mounts
- Leveled 25+ pets to level 40 (released pets included)
- Leveled 15+ mounts to level 40 (released mounts included)
- Purchased 2 training pens
- 10 Pasture expansions
- At least a day since you unlocked the Pasture

An expanded barn has room for 2 more Training Pens and has a fresh coat of paint to boot!

FAQ

Can I place an expiring Pet or Mount into a Training Pen?
You can! It will gain XP like a normal Pet/Mount. It will automatically be removed from the Training Pen when it expires.

I cannot start the quests but meet all the requirements!
If you're unable to start the Pasture unlock quests, check your active quests in your Quest Bar/Quest Dialog for any that might involve expanding your ranch house, buying the private island, or building the cottage. Any quest chain that at some point requires Jim's lumber quest cannot be done at the same time as another. This means if you've got the house expansion, private island, or cottage quest chains active you won't be able to start the Pasture quest chain.

Will Pets and Mounts in Training Pens still get XP when I'm not logged in?
Yes. Your Pets and Mounts in Training Pens will still get XP when you're logged off or not actively playing the game, so long as they have enough Training Kibble in their pen. When you next log in to the game, the Training Pens will still count time you didn't have the game open.

BW2: Earth Day Charity Drive!

Earth Day

As longtime players of Bush Whacker know, we like to give back whenever we can. So for Earth Day, we're having a charity drive!

This drive will run from April 20th through May 3rd, 2022, and we'll be raising money for a great organization that works to protect nature and the environment: Conservation International.

Conservation International

Conservation International protects nature for the benefit of humanity. Through science, policy, fieldwork and finance, they spotlight and secure the most important places in nature for the climate, for biodiversity and for people. With offices in 30 countries and projects in more than 100 countries, Conservation International partners with governments, companies, civil society, Indigenous peoples and local communities to help people and nature thrive together.
