Idle Champions Event: Highharvestide!
Posted in Idle Champions.

Welcome to our first ever event for Idle Champions! Today we launch Highharvestide, a new limited-time adventure that will run from today until Noon PDT Tuesday October 10th 2017.

The Champions find themselves called to the aid of innocent citizens of the Sword Coast. Bandits are causing trouble for farmers attempting to bring in their harvests in the fertile lands near Triboar. The party must investigate, traveling from farm to farm to put a stop to it.

Successfully completing the first part of the adventure will unlock a brand new Champion, Stoki. Born Stami Gackle, she fled her home after a terrible accident at a young age and joined a monastery of the Even Hand to study ki. An adept monk and extremely capable adventurer, her thoughtful approach to problems has earned her a reputation as an uncommonly stoic Rock Gnome.

She is a flexible addition to the Champions. Her specializations enable her to either focus on damage or a support role within your preferred formation.

Stoki will introduce you to a new level strategic thinking when it comes to the make-up of your party. She shares the same slot as Jarlaxle and so your first order is to decide whether you use Jarlaxle or Stoki on different adventures.

How do I play the Highharvestide Event?

The Highharvestide Event is a brand new temporary campaign with a single adventure and three variants. You can start the adventures from the Campaign Map just like you would any other adventure, except that you must spend Event Tokens (Harvest Baskets) to start them. The base adventure will unlock a new Champion, and the variants and free play provide chests that can be used to gear up the Champion. When the event ends, you keep the new Champion, any gear you have acquired for them, and a gain a boost to your permanent campaign favor.

How do I get more Event Tokens (Harvest Baskets)?

Event Tokens will drop periodically from monsters in all adventures and campaigns. You will also receive Event Tokens along with your offline gold gains when you load the game after having been offline for a while.

How do I use the new Champion I've unlocked?

Once you complete the event's base adventure, you can swap in the new Champion you've unlocked by clicking on the portrait of whomever they swap with, then clicking the swap button the top-right corner of their portrait on their character sheet. You can only have one Champion from each bench slot in your formation at a time.

How do I gear up the new Champion I've unlocked?

Equipment for event champions appear in event-specific chests. They cannot receive gear from normal silver or gold chests. You can earn event chests by completing event variants, the event free play, or by purchasing them directly for Event Tokens.

Why is the Chauntea's Favor in the event different from the base campaign Divine Favor?

In order to provide a more balanced experience for all players, each event has a different type of Divine Favor, which means everyone starts on relatively even footing. You still have your gear, unlocked Champions, and experience with formations to give you an advantage over newer players. The divine favor for the Highharvestide event is Chauntea's favor.

What happens to my Event Divine Favor after the event ends?

Once the event ends you'll have an opportunity to convert your Event Divine Favor into a different deity's Divine Favor for the campaign of your choice, so your hard earned Event Divine Favor will not go to waste. The more Divine Favor you earn in the event, the bigger the amount you earn for your permanent campaign.

Equipment to upgrade Stoki can be found in the special Stoki Silver and Gold chests. Don't forget you'll have until October 10th at Noon PDT to complete the event and unlock Stoki before the event closes.

BW2: Jr. Whacker Event 2017 Edition
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Teach Me How to Whack!

It's time to put your knowledge of whacking bushes to good use as you help educate the next generation! Take a trip to the Event Area of the Commons and get helping!

Help three aspiring young ones learn how to whack bushes, mana whack, and power whack! Bring the Jr. Whackers some Cardboard Swords to use, found in bushes throughout the world, and they'll share the spoils of their training with you. As you help them, they gain experience, "leveling up" and will award more items with each turn-in. Each of the determined young padawans will have a daily quest to power up the spoils from their next turn-in.

One Jr. Whacker appears to have suffered a head injury, since they are idolizing Nate. Talk to them and see what's going on.

What's a funner thing to earn than your Baking badge? Nothing of course! Help one Jr. Whacker get theirs later on in the event.

Help Keisha get her camping badge again this year! Check back daily for her quest unlocks.

Updated Event! Sasha's Schoolhouse Scourge!

We gotta go back, back, back to school again! But it's no high school musical. It's time for classes, homework and demons as we play through the Sasha's Schoolhouse Scourge event, 2017 edition!

The teachers and students have fallen victim to possession once again, and it's up to you and your intrepid Crusaders to save the day. If you haven't recruited them yet, now is you chance to add Karen and Mr. Boggins to your roster!

Two new Tier 2 Crusaders, Willy the Weregoat and The Exchange Student will be available to recruit after you've completed all the Tier 1 objectives (you may need to wait for enough event currency to do that) and if you have the talent "Doing it Again" purchased.

The first new Crusader is Willy the Weregoat, who stamps his hooves into place as he swaps with the Princess. Don't let him near any paperwork, unless you don't want it anymore. He really likes the taste. But he'll play nice and buff your Crusaders!

New Crusader: Willy the Weregoat

At level 50, Willy the Weregoat unlocks Reciprocation, which buffs adjacent Crusaders DPS by 10% per formation ability affecting Willy. The bonus is additive.

At level 400, Willy unlocks Play Nicest, which buffs Reciprocation by 100%, which means you get a 20% bonus per buff.

The second new Tier 2 Crusader is The Exchange Student. As a new student, she's easy to free from the demonic influence and join your adventures, swapping with Thalia the Thunder King. She's shy but confident, which makes for an interesting combination.

New Crusader: The Exchange Student

Once recruited, The Exchange Student unlocks Lightning Drake at level 50, which allows you to use Storm Rider.

At level 150, The Exchange Student gets the upgrade Class President, which buffs the DPS of the Crusaders in the column behind her by 50% of your current Storm Rider buff.

Once you've recruited both Willy and The Exchange Student, there are three new side objectives to tackle in your quest.

New Objective: Class Garden

In Class Garden, Arnie has forgotten to water the cacti and now the dehydrated plants want revenge. For every 10 you kill, a raging cactus will spawn to avenge his fallen comrades, and you'll have to fight them off until you beat area 400.

New Objective: Class Pets

In Class Pets, you need to escort the class hamster, turtle and snake to area 450, while they take up spots in your formation and change positions every 50 areas.

New Objective: Class Dismissed

In Class Dismissed, school is out and so are your Crusaders. Every 50 areas an entire bench slot gets dismissed and is no longer available to use, as you head to area 500 in this objective.

Equipment for all the Crusaders can be found in Silver and Jeweled Educational chests, but tier 2 Crusaders gear will only be unlocked once you've recruited them.

You'll have until September 26th at Noon PDT to complete the event.
