Crusaders of the Lost Idols & Idle Champions FAQ

This week we were very excited to tell you all about our latest game, Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, an official Dungeons & Dragons®-based idle clicker game. The game is due to launch later this year on Steam.

You had a few questions for us about what this means for Crusaders of the Lost Idols so we put together this handy FAQ.

What's going on?

This week we, Codename Entertainment, announced we are launching a brand new game. It's called Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, an official Dungeons & Dragons®-based idle clicker game.

This is the first time an idle clicker game is set in the celebrated universe of the Forgotten Realms. Players explore the continent of Faerûn, the home of Elminister the Wizard and Drizzt Do'Urden. Along the way, the player will meet interesting new characters and enjoy compelling new adventures.

The game is Codename Entertainment's first licensed video game in partnership with Wizards of the Coast LLC, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc.

What kind of game is it?

It's an idle clicker game available on PC via Steam (and other platforms in the future). The game challenges players to assemble a party of champions and master the art of formation strategy. As players unlock new heroes, upgrade them, and collect unique gear they will reveal each hero's special abilities. Players must learn how to combine hero abilities to beat ever more powerful monsters. Idle Champions will feature many campaigns that will take the player on an epic quest throughout the fabled Sword Coast.

As players complete each campaign, they will explore the deep lore of the Forgotten Realms. Newcomers to the universe world of Dungeons & Dragons will learn about their new home through the game. Seasoned fans will have the opportunity to revisit popular storylines and even learn new knowledge as they play.

That sounds familiar!

You may notice more than a few passing similarities with Crusaders of the Lost Idols, however Idle Champions features many differences from Crusaders that will make it a fresh experience for even the most experienced Crusader player.

Is Crusaders of the Lost Idols shutting down?

No. Crusaders of the Lost Idols will continue to be updated by Codename Entertainment for both new and existing fans. This carries on our long tradition of continuing to support the awesome community of players we've attained over the years.

Our other game, Bush Whacker II, has now been in operation for five years! Our hope is that Crusaders will also celebrate some equally long-lived anniversaries. As long as you keep playing, we'll keep updating the game.

When is Idle Champions going to be released?

Idle Champions will be released later in 2017. We'll be updating on the exact release date later.
