BW2: 2024 St. Patrick's Celebration!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Happy St. Patrick's Day Bushwhackers!

The Commons is greener than usual! That's because the Commons Party Planning Committee is putting on a St. Patrick's day party!

Unfortunately, the guests of honour seem to have gotten lost in the bushes. Go whack them up and help them find their way to the Event Area!

Leprechaun Collect-a-thon

There are eight Leprechauns to whack up that will help you put on a rocking St. Patrick's Day party! Every day the event goes on, the odds to whack them up gets larger, so you can get them all before it ends. Three of them will have turn-in stations for you to do and the others will have repeatable quests for you to do for event progress.

A Rainbow of Quests

Unlocking throughout the event are previous year quest lines:

Mr. Keith is looking to put out his special brew again. Help him find the ingredients.

Alec Guiness is whipping up another strange Patty's craft brew to show up Mr. Keith's own beer. Help gather his unusual ingredients.

Seamus is in the mood to do some whacking of his own, but first he needs your help to make the perfect shillelagh.

Siobhan is throwing her version of an Irish Feast...but the dishes got lost in the bushes. Go find them for her!

Those poor snakes are tired of being whacked so often. Help their leader out by setting up his snake relocation program efforts.

Help Bree learn about Irish mythology!

A red Leprechaun up on the Rainbow's End Island might need your help at some point.

FAQ

What are the different leprechauns?
You can whack up two types of leprechauns: hatted and non-hatted.
  • There are 8 hatted ones to find, 3 will unlock turn-in stations, and the other 5 will give you daily quests. You must manually whack these ones to capture them.

  • The non-hatted ones will drop items for you to turn into the turn-in stations. You can quick whack and mana whack non-hatted leprechauns when they appear if you wish. The non-hatted leprechauns will *always* drop some turn-in items, rather than just having a chance to.

How can I find the leprechauns?
Just keep whacking. You could whack them all up in a day if you wanted to. The odds to whack up hatted leprechauns will increase as the event goes on.

What adds to my event progress?
Turning in items to the Gold, Beer and Clover stations, and doing quests for folks in the event area.

Do I have to do the achievements?
No. Completing the goals for the achievements is totally optional. You get either a large energy pack or a title for your character from them, no event progress.

Where can I see all the achievements available and how to get them?
Either on the holiday dialog, the achievements dialog, or on the blog.

Why should I ask for friends to help boost turn-ins?
It increases the amount of progress you get from doing a turn-in.

COTLI: Hermit's Premature Party 7!

Hermit is always extra excited at this time of year, though this year even he is surprised at how quickly it came!

As St. Patrick's Day approaches, the Washed-Up Hermit triples his efforts to provide the latest Premature Party, drawing the attention of a being ancient and wise. Inviting himself to this year's soiree is Farmer Brown!

It's time for Hermit's Premature Party 7!

Hermit's Premature Party 7 runs until Wednesday, March 16th, introducing Farmer Brown and bringing back Gwendolyn, Daughter of Night, Tiernan, Ana Guinness, Saint Patrokia, Squiggles the Clown, Snickette the Sneaky, Kyle the Party Bro, and Larry the Leprechaun!

New Tier 7 Crusader: Farmer Brown

Tags: Event, Male, Human, Flora, Support, Gold, Magical, Angel

Farmer Brown was a very fine farmer. He watched over his fields, tending them with attentiveness, rotating fields every few years, rotating the crops in those fields, even reading them bedtime stories over the PA system. His vegetables were known as the best and biggest in the area and though other farmers asked for his secrets, they just couldn't implement them as well as he did.

That might have been because of the other secret to his success: magic!

Though one day, tragedy struck and Farmer Brown lost control of his combine, leading to an unfortunate accident. Thankfully, his beloved crops merged with his body and resurrected him. Though his community was a little wary around him now.

When you come across him in your travels and offer him the chance to join your motley crew, he accepts!

You can find Farmer Brown in seat 35 on the bench.

New Tier 7 Objectives

  • Recruit Farmer Brown | Farmer Brown takes up a slot in the formation. Larry the Leprechaun and Kyle the Party Bro take up spots in formation and can't be removed. Only Human or Magical Crusaders can be used. Farmer Brown reduces your Goldfind by 100% for every 100 monsters killed, lasting 15 seconds. Note: This will require having cleared the objective Bullet Hell on Ready Player Two to complete. Beat area 650.

  • 7th Time Lucky | Squiggles the Clown and Snickette the Sneaky take up spots in formation and can't be removed. The formation has been changed. Non-boss area requirements are now set to collect 77 items or kill 77 monsters. Note: This will require having cleared the objective Washed Up on World's Wake to complete. Beat area 750.

  • Supernatural Veggies | Saint Patrokia and Ana Guinness take up spots in formation and can't be removed. Only Supernatural Crusaders can be used. Evil veggies spawn, each living at least 5 seconds, with a hidden power. Note: This will require having cleared the objective Washed Up on World's Wake to complete. Beat area 800.

  • Angelic Tractors | Tiernan takes up a spot in formation and can't be removed. Only Angel and Robot Crusaders can be used. A tractor takes up a spot in the formation. Crusaders adjacent to the tractor receive a 1000% DPS increase. Note: This will require having purchased the max level of the Arithmagician Talent to complete. Beat area 850.

  • Delightful Nitrates | Gwendolyn, Daughter of Night takes up a spot in formation and can't be removed. Only Undead and Flora Crusaders can be used. A plant takes up a spot in the formation. For every 100 monsters killed, the plant provides a 5% gold buff, stacking multiplicatively. Caps at 10,000 monsters killed. Note: This will require having purchased the max level of the Arithmagician Talent to complete. Beat area 900.

  • More info

You'll have until Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 at 12:00 PM Pacific Time to complete Hermit's Premature Party 7!

For more info on previous Hermit's Premature Party Crusaders and objectives check out the Hermit's Premature Party Tier 6 blog post.

Equipment for event Crusaders can be found in Silver and Jeweled St. Patrick's Chests, which you can earn from objectives and the free play or buy in the shop. Each non-recruitment objective will drop a chest for its given tier of Crusaders, and free play will drop All Tier chests. Gear for Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4, Tier 5, Tier 6, and Tier 7 Crusaders will only appear in All Tier chests once you've unlocked the respective Crusaders. You can select the tier of chest you buy in the shop when you go to purchase chests with real money or event currency.

There are eight Leprechauns to whack up that will help you put on a rocking St. Patrick’s Day party! Every day the event goes on, the odds to whack them up gets larger, so you can get them all before it ends. Three of them will have turn-in stations for you to do and the others will have repeatable quests for you to do for event progress.

    COTLI: Hermit's Premature Party 5!

Hermit is always extra excited at this time of year, and 2020 is no different!

As St. Patrick's Day approaches, the Washed-Up Hermit triples his efforts to provide the latest Premature Party, drawing the attention of a being ancient and wise. Inviting himself to this year's soiree is Tiernan, an angel responsible for the three realms and guiding lost souls. But this angel is no stranger to St. Patrick's Day -- in fact, he claims to have been the inspiration to Saint Patrick over 1500 years ago...

Welcome to Hermit's Premature Party 5!

This year's event runs until Tuesday, March 17th at 12PM PDT, introducing Tiernan and bringing back Ana Guinness, Saint Patroika, Squiggles the Clown, Snickette the Sneaky, Kyle the Party Bro, and Larry the Leprechaun!

    New Tier 5 Crusader: Tiernan

The angel Tiernan has watched over the realms for ages, guiding souls and safeguarding the natural world.

Tír na nÓg, Seed of the Earth, and Three Realms boost the damage potential of Crusaders. Druidic Patterns propagates formation abilities on Tiernan to all Crusaders adjacent to exactly three formation slots.

Butterflies circle around Tiernan as part of Tryptych Display, which gives him his second and third Angel and Good tags.

Gold-o-rama has never been better than with Tiernan in the formation. Lost Souls improves Group DPS while Gold-o-rama is active, and Nectar Scented offers a 10% chance that when a boss is first killed in an area, the Gold-o-rama cooldown may be instantly reset.

    New Tier 5 Objectives

    • Recruit Tiernan | Tiernan takes up a slot in the formation. Crusaders only do DPS when Gold-o-Rama is active.
      Quest Requirements x 7
      Reach area 400.

    • Seeing Green | The formation is now ramp-shaped. Crusaders at the end of or under the ramp have their DPS disabled.
      Quest Requirements x 7
      Reach area 450.

    • Seeing Double | Crusader copies are the only monsters attacking your formation, and are tough to kill.
      Quest Requirements x 7
      Reach area 475.

    • Seeing Into The Void | A Black Hole occupies a slot in formation and steals your gold and quest items. The Black Hole gradually reduces your DPS to 0 if you take too long to complete an area.
      Quest Requirements x 7
      Reach area 500.

    • Seeing Divinity | Only Angel Crusaders can be used. Crusaders with the 'Good' tag receive a buff to their formation abilities.
      Quest Requirements x 7
      Reach area 525.

    Help! Where’s the Loot?

Equipment for event Crusaders can be found in Silver and Jeweled St. Patrick's Chests, which you can earn from objectives and the free play or buy in the shop. COTLI: Hermit's Premature Party 4

There's no such thing as a party starting too early — at least, that's what The Washed Up Hermit believes. Why celebrate St. Patrick's day for just one day? Why not instead celebrate for a whole two weeks!?

Perhaps Hermit is excited because his latest guest, Ana Guinness, an internationally-renowned bartender, has really cranked the party up to 11. She's here to make sure every Crusader has the time of their lives, and with her millennia of experience to back up her skills, lets just say she knows how to keep a Tier 4 party going until the sun comes up a dozen times over.

Welcome to Hermit's Premature Party 4! Hermit's Premature Party 4 introduces Ana Guinness, and brings back Kyle the Party Bro, Larry the Leprechaun, Snickette the Sneaky, Squiggles the Clown, and Saint Patroika! The party ends on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 12:00PM PDT!

New Tier 4 Crusader: Ana Guinness

News of your exploits has spread far and wide, from the crowded cities to the hidden taverns of fae kind. Ana Guinness, bartender extraordinaire, is ready to have some adventures of her own again, after millenia serving drinks to her fellow leprechauns.

Of course, she wouldn't be a leprechaun without an affinity for treasure, and if you follow the rainbow she guards, bosses you encounter will drop silver chests more often. Plus, gold will just rain from the monsters as they die before you from her gold find abilities.

    Crusaders Return

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock previous Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Crusaders by completing their respective objectives. Kyle the Party Bro, Larry the Leprechaun, Snickette the Sneaky, Squiggles the Clown, and Saint Patroika are all once again available to unlock!

    New Tier 4 Objectives

    • Recruit Ana Guinness | Ana Guinness takes up a slot in the formation If a boss drops a chest, you lose DPS for 30 seconds. Reach area 600.

    • Leprechaun Party | Leprechauns and Elf Crusaders only. Invisible leprechaun enemies spawn randomly and are invisible, only appearing once they reach your formation. Reach area 700.

    • My Girl Likes Treasure All The Time | A Greedy Coin takes up a slot in the formation. Whenever you pick up gold, the Greedy Coin disables DPS for several seconds. The Greedy Coin also deals damage over time to Clicker Crusaders. Reach area 750.

    • Beers to You | Area quest requirements are tripled. Additionally, special Beer Monsters spawn on occasion, which increase area quest progress by 10 upon death. Reach area 800.

    • The Emerald Isle | An emerald island takes up the center slot in the formation. For every 100 monsters you kill, one Crusader gets disabled for 30 seconds. Reach area 850.

    Help! Where’s the Loot?

Equipment for event Crusaders can be found in Silver and Jeweled St. Patrick's Chests, which you can earn from objectives and the free play or buy in the shop. Each non-recruitment objective will drop a chest for its given tier of Crusaders, and free play will drop all-tier chests. Gear for Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 Crusaders will only appear in all-tier chests once you've unlocked the respective Crusaders. You can select the tier of chest you buy in the shop.

You'll have until Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 12:00PM PDT to complete Hermit's Premature Party 4!
