COTLI: Hermit's Premature Party 7!

Hermit is always extra excited at this time of year, though this year even he is surprised at how quickly it came!

As St. Patrick's Day approaches, the Washed-Up Hermit triples his efforts to provide the latest Premature Party, drawing the attention of a being ancient and wise. Inviting himself to this year's soiree is Farmer Brown!

It's time for Hermit's Premature Party 7!

Hermit's Premature Party 7 runs until Wednesday, March 16th, introducing Farmer Brown and bringing back Gwendolyn, Daughter of Night, Tiernan, Ana Guinness, Saint Patrokia, Squiggles the Clown, Snickette the Sneaky, Kyle the Party Bro, and Larry the Leprechaun!

New Tier 7 Crusader: Farmer Brown

Tags: Event, Male, Human, Flora, Support, Gold, Magical, Angel

Farmer Brown was a very fine farmer. He watched over his fields, tending them with attentiveness, rotating fields every few years, rotating the crops in those fields, even reading them bedtime stories over the PA system. His vegetables were known as the best and biggest in the area and though other farmers asked for his secrets, they just couldn't implement them as well as he did.

That might have been because of the other secret to his success: magic!

Though one day, tragedy struck and Farmer Brown lost control of his combine, leading to an unfortunate accident. Thankfully, his beloved crops merged with his body and resurrected him. Though his community was a little wary around him now.

When you come across him in your travels and offer him the chance to join your motley crew, he accepts!

You can find Farmer Brown in seat 35 on the bench.

    COTLI: Hermit's Premature Party 5!

Hermit is always extra excited at this time of year, and 2020 is no different!

As St. Patrick's Day approaches, the Washed-Up Hermit triples his efforts to provide the latest Premature Party, drawing the attention of a being ancient and wise. Inviting himself to this year's soiree is Tiernan, an angel responsible for the three realms and guiding lost souls. But this angel is no stranger to St. Patrick's Day -- in fact, he claims to have been the inspiration to Saint Patrick over 1500 years ago...

Welcome to Hermit's Premature Party 5!

This year's event runs until Tuesday, March 17th at 12PM PDT, introducing Tiernan and bringing back Ana Guinness, Saint Patroika, Squiggles the Clown, Snickette the Sneaky, Kyle the Party Bro, and Larry the Leprechaun!

    New Tier 5 Crusader: Tiernan

The angel Tiernan has watched over the realms for ages, guiding souls and safeguarding the natural world.

Tír na nÓg, Seed of the Earth, and Three Realms boost the damage potential of Crusaders. Druidic Patterns propagates formation abilities on Tiernan to all Crusaders adjacent to exactly three formation slots.

Butterflies circle around Tiernan as part of Tryptych Display, which gives him his second and third Angel and Good tags.

Gold-o-rama has never been better than with Tiernan in the formation. Lost Souls improves Group DPS while Gold-o-rama is active, and Nectar Scented offers a 10% chance that when a boss is first killed in an area, the Gold-o-rama cooldown may be instantly reset.

    New Tier 5 Objectives

    • Recruit Tiernan | Tiernan takes up a slot in the formation. Crusaders only do DPS when Gold-o-Rama is active.
      Quest Requirements x 7
      Reach area 400.

    • Seeing Green | The formation is now ramp-shaped. Crusaders at the end of or under the ramp have their DPS disabled.
      Quest Requirements x 7
      Reach area 450.

    • Seeing Double | Crusader copies are the only monsters attacking your formation, and are tough to kill.
      Quest Requirements x 7

    • Seeing Divinity | Only Angel Crusaders can be used. Crusaders with the 'Good' tag receive a buff to their formation abilities.
      Quest Requirements x 7
      Reach area 525.

    COTLI: Hermit's Premature Party 4

There's no such thing as a party starting too early — at least, that's what The Washed Up Hermit believes. Why celebrate St. Patrick's day for just one day? Why not instead celebrate for a whole two weeks!?

Perhaps Hermit is excited because his latest guest, Ana Guinness, an internationally-renowned bartender, has really cranked the party up to 11. She's here to make sure every Crusader has the time of their lives, and with her millennia of experience to back up her skills, lets just say she knows how to keep a Tier 4 party going until the sun comes up a dozen times over.

Welcome to Hermit's Premature Party 4! Hermit's Premature Party 4 introduces Ana Guinness, and brings back Kyle the Party Bro, Larry the Leprechaun, Snickette the Sneaky, Squiggles the Clown, and Saint Patroika! The party ends on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 12:00PM PDT!

New Tier 4 Crusader: Ana Guinness

News of your exploits has spread far and wide, from the crowded cities to the hidden taverns of fae kind. Ana Guinness, bartender extraordinaire, is ready to have some adventures of her own again, after millenia serving drinks to her fellow leprechauns.

Of course, she wouldn't be a leprechaun without an affinity for treasure, and if you follow the rainbow she guards, bosses you encounter will drop silver chests more often. Plus, gold will just rain from the monsters as they die before you from her gold find abilities.

    Crusaders Return

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock previous Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Crusaders by completing their respective objectives. Kyle the Party Bro, Larry the Leprechaun, Snickette the Sneaky, Squiggles the Clown, and Saint Patroika are all once again available to unlock!

    New Tier 4 Objectives

    • Recruit Ana Guinness | Ana Guinness takes up a slot in the formation If a boss drops a chest, you lose DPS for 30 seconds. Reach area 600.

    • Leprechaun Party | Leprechauns and Elf Crusaders only. Invisible leprechaun enemies spawn randomly and are invisible, only appearing once they reach your formation. Reach area 700.

    • My Girl Likes Treasure All The Time | A Greedy Coin takes up a slot in the formation. Whenever you pick up gold, the Greedy Coin disables DPS for several seconds. The Greedy Coin also deals damage over time to Clicker Crusaders. Reach area 750.

    • Beers to You | Area quest requirements are tripled. Additionally, special Beer Monsters spawn on occasion, which increase area quest progress by 10 upon death. Reach area 800.

    • The Emerald Isle | An emerald island takes up the center slot in the formation. For every 100 monsters you kill, one Crusader gets disabled for 30 seconds. Reach area 850.

    Help! Where’s the Loot?

Equipment for event Crusaders can be found in Silver and Jeweled St. Patrick's Chests, which you can earn from objectives and the free play or buy in the shop. Each non-recruitment objective will drop a chest for its given tier of Crusaders, and free play will drop all-tier chests. Gear for Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 Crusaders will only appear in all-tier chests once you've unlocked the respective Crusaders. You can select the tier of chest you buy in the shop.

    COTLI: Hermit's Premature Party 2018

St. Patrick isn't the only saint on display in this year's Hermit's Premature Party event! Saint Patrokia, the Orc Nun, can be recruited as this year's new tier 3 event Crusader, after which her blessings will aid your party in conquering the four additional tier 3 objectives newly available. If you're not there yet, there are still four Crusaders from previous years to recruit, and six other objectives to challenge you. Good luck!

Hermit's Premature Party 2018 event runs until Tuesday, March 13th at Noon PDT. For more information, check out the How to Play /FAQ in-game!

New Tier 3 Crusader: Saint Patrokia

Saint Patrokia is a nun-like Orcish support Crusader who blesses nearby Crusaders and is empowered by other supernatural companions.

    Crusaders Return

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock our Tier One Crusaders Larry the Leprechaun and Kyle the Party Bro by completing the respective Tier One objectives. Then, you can collect the Tier Two Crusaders, Snickette the Sneaky and Squiggles the Clown, by completing the first two Tier Two objectives!

    Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

    • Recruit Saint Patrokia | Saint Patrokia takes up the central slot in the formation. She debuffs ("Beneath Me") your party's DPS by 50% (multiplicative) for each non Supernatural/Orc Crusader in the formation. Reach area 500.

    • Quiet Devotion | Every 10 seconds, the DPS of your highest DPS Crusader is reduced by 100% for 30 seconds (a "Be Quiet!" debuff). Reach area 600.

    • Orc-sitting | Two drunken Orc Peasants, celebrating St. Patrick's Day, take up slots in the formation. Every 10 seconds they randomly apply a "Selfless" debuff to adjacent Crusaders who offers to help make sure they're going to get home alright. The debuff lasts for 20 seconds and disables the DPS of the affected Crusader. The Orcs move around the formation every 100 areas. Reach area 650.

    • Saintly Glory | Each monster killed grants a random Crusader one stack of "Glory," which increases their DPS by 20% (stacking additively). When a Crusader reaches 5 stacks, their Glory stack is replaced by an "Overcome by Glory" debuff, which disabled their DPS and Formation Abilities; during this time they cannot gain more Glory stacks. Glory stacks do not expire, but "Overcome by Glory" expires after 15 seconds, at which point they can earn more Glory. Reach area 700.

    • The Orcish Pantheon | An Orc god takes up the central slot in the formation and increases the damage of Orc Crusaders by 400%. Only Orc and Supernatural Crusaders may be used. Reach area 750.

    Help! Where’s the Loot?

Equipment for event Crusaders can be found in St. Patrick's Silver and Jeweled Chests, which you can earn from objectives and the free play or buy in the shop. Each non-recruitment objective will drop a chest for its given tier of Crusaders, and free play will drop all-tier chests. Gear for the Tier 2 and 3 Crusaders will only appear in all-tier chests once you've unlocked the respective Crusader. You can select the tier of chest you buy in the shop.

You'll have until Tuesday, March 13th at Noon PDT to complete the St. Patrick's event!

    Hermit's Premature Party 2017

Suggesting the Washed-up Hermit likes a tipple, is like saying there was a small snafu for Best Picture at the Oscars this year. It's a massive understatement. Hermit can't wait until St. Patrick's Day, so he's celebrating early again this year.

Hermit's Premature Party event runs from today through to March 14th at Noon PST. For those players who haven't unlocked them already, this is your chance to add both Larry and Kyle to your roster.

Of course, as this is a 2017 update of the original event you can also collect two new Crusaders: Snickette the Sneaky and Squiggles the Clown.

New Tier Two Crusader: Snickette the Sneaky.

The first of the two new Tier 2 Crusaders is Snickette the Sneaky. The sneaky leprechaun shares the same seat as Sarah the Collector. At level 100, her ability Favorite Prey increases the DPS of human Crusaders in the party by +50%.

At level 400, Snickette unlocks The Blame Game which increases the DPS of all Crusaders by +50% if there is more than one leprechaun in the formation.

New Tier Two Crusader: Squiggles the Clown.

Squiggles the Clown is the stuff of nightmares until you've unlocked him and then he becomes less scary and whole lot more useful. At level 100, he unlocks Royal Past ability where it increases his DPS +150% but minus 25% for every Royal Crusader in the formation (0% with six Royal Crusaders in the formation). At level 400 his Receptive Audience ability increases his DPS +200% when adjacent to at least two Humans.

After you've completed the first new Tier Two objectives for Snickette and Squiggles, there are three more objectives to conquer (after a few more drinks, naturally).

New Tier Two Objective: Party Animals... er, Humans.

In Party Animals... er, Humans only Human and Leprechaun Crusaders are available all the way to area 400.

New Tier Two Objective: Drunk Too Much.

In the objective, Drunk Too Much the Crusaders are starting to feel worse for wear. Pink Elephants appear but can't be killed (and don't block spawns, by the way). You must reach area 450 before you can get some water to sober up a bit.

New Tier Two Objective: Wicked Hangover.

The final new Tier Two objective is Wicked Hangover. Two formation slots have their formation abilities and DPS disabled; the two affected slots change every ten areas!

Equipment for both Tier 1 and 2 Crusaders can be found in St. Patrick's Jeweled Chests. However, gear for the Tier 2 Crusaders will only appear once you've unlocked the respective Crusader.

You'll have until March 14th at Noon PST to complete the event. Cheers!

    New Event! Hermit's Premature Party

Hermit is way too excited for St. Patrick's Day. In his permanently inebriated state he has organized a 'knees-up' for himself and the fellow Crusaders in advance of the actual celebration of everything from the Emerald Isle.

Starting today and continuing until March 14, Hermit's premature party is a rolling booze-up of epic proportions taking place in a party house, street parade, obligatory Irish pub, and ending in Blurry Drunk Land. It's a real place; we've been there. Plus it's all happening just in time to recover before the real St. Patrick's Day a few days later.

    Larry the Leprechaun

Parties are about meeting new people, and Hermit's shindig is no exception. Two new Crusaders are coming along for the ride and successfully completing their objectives will recruit them to your ranks.

Larry the Leprechaun loves gold. He has a big pot of it stashed somewhere, after all. His abilities include various ways to increase your gold generation. When he reaches Level 100, for instance, he'll increase all the gold found by a hearty 25%!

    Kyle the Party Bro

The other newcomer is Kyle the Party-Bro. He's the kind of wingman you need at your side at any party. He combines his tremendous ability to consume alcohol with still being able to get his friends into a taxi and safely home at the end of the night. His technique of clearing the way of party-pooping monsters reaches it's peak at level 150 when he increases the DPS of all his fellow Crusaders by 20%.

    New Objective Parade Route

Once you've recruited the two new Crusaders there are three additional objectives to play. Parade Route requires 500 idols and two floats take up four of your formation slots. Beer Before Liquor requires 1,000 idols and involves deadly pink elephants out to crush you in your stupor. The final new objective Four Leaf Clover restricts you to only four Crusaders (can you see what we did there?) at any one time and requires 1,500 idols to start.
