Quality Assurance Technical Analyst
Quality Assurance Technical Analyst Position
Codename Entertainment is looking for a talented and passionate Quality Assurance Technical Analyst to join our team. As a QA Technical Analyst you will work closely with developers, designers, and support testing new and existing game features and designs to maintain high quality standards for current and future projects. Additionally you will lend your technical understanding and problem solving skills to support players reporting technical issues, documenting and communicating those issues to the development team.
Job Description:
- Collaborate with Customer Support and Development to determine testing priorities
- Review and analyze feature specifications to create test cases
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
- Document testing phases and results
- Document bugs and errors and report them to the development team
- Help Customer Support troubleshoot issues as needed
- Conduct post-release / post-implementation testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements:
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Programming experience and familiarity with Java, C# and C++
- Experience working with highly complex game systems
- Passion and deep knowledge of video games and geek culture
- Experience in project management and QA methodology
- Familiarity with regression testing is a plus
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to take a player / end user perspective
- Analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude
- Strong organizational skills

Codename Co-ops are completely enmeshed from day one with the development process, learning the ins, outs, ups and downs of game development first hand. Junior Game Programmer Co-op - Web/Mobile
As a Junior Game Programmer with focus on web and mobile, you will work with other developers to build features and tools for new and existing web and mobile games. This will involves client-side development largely in C#/Unity and AS3/Flash as well as some server-side in PHP and Java. You will need to be able to build an understanding of the complete development workflow and work in any part of the system from client to server as needed. Strong programming, problem solving, and logic skills are a must. You should enjoy finding creative solutions to difficult problems.
Description and Qualifications:
- Game programming experience in one or more of AS3/Flash, C++, C#/DirectX, C#/Unity, or OpenGL;
- Very strong object oriented programming skills.
- Ability to design, develop and draft functional specs as required during the development process;
- You must have the ability to work with minimum direction;
- Proficiency in both Unix and Windows environments;
- Work comfortably with MySQL;
- Strong logic and problem solving skills;
- Strong conceptual, production and communication skills;
- Javascript, XML, JSON, AJAX experience.
