The Mystery of the Restless Ghosts!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Investigator Kaine needs your help again, Bush Whackers! This time a troupe of restless ghosts are causing trouble in the castle area! In order to start this adventure you must have completed Kaine's caves mystery and reached the kitchen area of the Castle Interior zone. Once those requirements are met, you can start this new adventure by talking to the Town Crier in the Commons. Have fun!

Flux Remixed
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

One of the most common requests we have from end-of-game players is a way to revisit old Flux puzzles, followed up by a way to use and recombine old Flux trinkets. With the update today, we are doing both!

As of the update today, players who have reached the current Flux will be able to teleport to previous Fluxes and get trinkets they missed or just complete different puzzles if they get tired of the latest one.

Want to get started? Talk to the "glitch" with the !!! over its head to teleport between Flux's.

Once you arrive in a prior Flux, you'll notice one major change: all the Devs in previous are ghostly and won't say anything (because we didn't keep any of their old dialog, whoops!), but you can watch the "studio " expand with new Devs, as we evolved over time.

The next major change is that instead of receiving 10,000 gold after finding all 8 Flux Trinkets for a given Flux, you will now whack up Flux Dust. Flux Dust can then be used to buy special Custom Items, a custom pet, or to upgrade a special "Super Trinket" that can only be obtained and upgraded in the Flux.

So What is the Super Trinket?

As indicated above, the Super Trinket can only be created in the Flux. This trinket can be upgraded more than 50 times - each time you upgrade it, you can modify a different stat, but each group of stats must be added before the next tier will unlock.

You will need to collect all 8 trinkets from a specific Flux, before they can be traded for Dusts (and clean up the trinket inventory).

Talk to the woman in the blue shirt and bowler hat in the Flux to access the Flux store and Super Trinket upgrades!

Food, Family and...helping to save the Turkeys?
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Thank goodness for Thanksgiving!

The residents of Bushwhackia are preparing for a massive feast, and of course they need your help!

You'll need to first and foremost help the chefs fill their food stations to the brim - and beyond. There's three of them, so you'll be collecting meat, veggies and of course deserts to feed the hungry masses of Bushwhackia!

On the subject of food - four guests have promised they'd bring food to share, but predictably they've forgotten some ingredients. (Apparently, no one bothers to make a list anymore!)

And then, there's the problem of the Turkeys. Apparently, they need to be rescued in some fashion, so you'll need to get on that.

New for 2014:
We've added two brand new quests to the event so be sure to keep an eye out for them as they will unlock over the course of the event! When they are made available, speak to the NPC standing between the food turn-in tables and Pete the Clown and he'll point you in the right directions. (He's also the one from whom you can purchase ingredient bags from!) To make room for these new quests, Bob's historical quests will now unlock sequentially all at once, in contrast to previous years when his quests unlocked over several days.

Event Achievements - POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!

There are a total of TEN possible Achievements to earn in the Thanksgiving 2014 event:

Achievements Returning in 2014:
Special Order - You helped all of the people prepare their special dishes.
Master of the Ways - You have helped cook each dish excellently for the pristine table.
Short Order Cook - You've helped prepare one of each dish.
Turkey Lover - You saved enough turkeys to guarantee survival. This year.
Historical Detective - You helped Bob the Historian investigate the Pilgrims.

Added/Changed for 2014:
Family Matters - You brought all of Brock's family together for Thanksgiving.
Black Friday - You bought all the 2014 Thanksgiving items.*

We have 3 achievements from previous year's events, which may be earned by spending some Bush Bucks if a player was not present during the original years:
Thankful Decorator - You bought all the house items from the 2012 Thanksgiving Event.
Thankful Dresser - You bought all the player items from the 2012 Thanksgiving Event.
Thankful Shopper - You bought all the 2013 Turkey Day items.

* The Thanksgiving Mini Golf piece is NOT included in the Black Friday achievement, and therefore it is not required to purchase it.

Pet Packs:

It's dangerous to go alone, so you should have a friend! Check our newest sidekicks for you to consider:

Roboturkey - Increases your chance to win puzzle pieces by up to 15%
Hedgehog - Increases your chance to win quest items by up to 15% Thanksgiving Goose - Turns up to 25% of your Nothing wins into Mana!

2013 Event Pets available for Bush Bucks:

Pilgrim Kitty - Odds to win Quest Items +15%
Pilgrim Squirrel - Odds to win Runes +25%
Turkey Hunter - Odds to win Puzzle Pieces +15%

And the Winners are...!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

To recap:

Hallowe'en in Bush Whacker is primarily focused around designing a wicked haunted mansion with which to scare the children of Bushwhackia. It's super easy to get started: Whack Bushes! Find Pumpkins! Trade for Decorations! Once you feel you've got enough, start laying out your design inside, before submitting it.

Once the submissions are closed at the end of the event, the entire Codename Entertainment studio reviews the submissions and choose their favourites for each platform; 3 lucky players from Armor Games, Big Fish Games, Games.com, Facebook and Kongregate will all be awarded prizes of 250, 200, and 150 bush bucks.

The coveted "User's Choice" award is picked by the Bush Whacker Community, and has a prize of 50 bush bucks! Vote for as many submissions as you like, and at the end of the event the top submission as voted by YOU the players will be awarded the prize.

Reach for the Sky, Scraper!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Meet Larry. He's the Commons' Construction Foreman. Meet Ed. He's the Commons' Building Manager. It's time to reach for the skies and provide multiple purposes to the unsightly space in the Commons!

Once upon a time, there was a little red schoolhouse.

Then there was an evil hat.

Then, there wasn't a schoolhouse.

A community rang out with laughter, outrage and sadness.

"The citizens of Bushwhackia deserve a home for all their wandering residents!" they cried out.

Enter Larry and Ed. They have some ideas, but they need your help to achieve them.

Speak to them in the western Commons, if you have finished to 100%:
…Inspector Kaine in the Mystery of the Evil Hat
…Natalie Dragon's house.
