Eggs-cellent BW2 Easter Event 2017
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Happy Easter Bushwhackers!

The Easter Bunny is back in town to bring the friendly competition of his egg hunt! That's what Easter is all about, right? The yummy chocolate eggs!

Every 8 hours, you can compete against 4 residents of the Commons in the Easter Egg Hunt! Plus, after your first Hunt of the day, you can hide eggs to set-up for the next hunt and whack monsters to keep the fields safe for the children!

Having trouble winning? Why not use some bonuses, available from the shady character in the wizard hat in the Event Area. Boosts are available for purchase for Easter Tokens after you complete your first Egg Hunt of the event.

Help make the eggs with the three turn-in stations! With all the Unpainted Eggs, Dye and Wax, we can make some pretty egg designs!

Chef Elza will have her bevy of recipes for you to help her prepare to have an awesome Easter feast!

Speaking of Easter feasts, lambs are so very cute, aren’t they? Help Lambchop save her fellow fluffy lambs from ending up on Easter feast tables.

Grab Jelly Beans and Peeps every 20 hours for extra Easter progress and tokens! Plus, each of the turn-in station owners will have a bonus quest for you to complete, and you'll get to help the poor confused soul deal with Easter moving around.

New for 2017:
This year's event adds EIGHT new quests on top of the ones offered in previous years, so there's tons to do all throughout the event! You can help one character make a Chocolate Easter Egg, because who doesn't need more sugar? And you'll be able to make a custom hat! Check back later in the event for the quests to unlock.

Plus, the World Wide Easter Egg Hunt has been updated for this year! You can find up to 75 Eggs, hidden in new spots, depending on your progress in the game.

FAQ

How do I participate in the Easter Egg Hunt?
Talk to the NPC under the Easter Egg Hunt banner to be teleported to the hunting zone.

What do I do in the Easter Egg Hunt zone?
Click on all the crates, barrels, rocks and bushes trying to find as many eggs as you can. There are only 20 eggs hidden in all the doodads.

How do I get a perfect score in the Easter Egg Hunt?
You need to collect all 20 eggs - basically not letting any of the other hunters find any.

I’m too slow at the Hunt. How can I be better?
The NPC with the wizard hat in the event area of the Commons sells boosts for Easter Tokens. Speed up your character and distract the other hunters with his wares. Also, travel in a circle, starting in the area closest to where everyone else is being distracted. And don't click on the searchable items themselves, click beside them. Clicking on the item causes you to walk slower.

When will the last quest unlock?
All quests will be unlocked by the 10th day of the event.

What contributes to my 100% progress?
Turning in the Unpainted Eggs, the Dye and the Wax as well as completing the Easter Egg Hunt and the quests for the folks in the event area.

Why do I want to ask friends for help?
It increases the amount of progress you get from doing a turn-in.

Do I have to do the achievements?
No. Completing the goals for the achievements is totally optional. You get either a large energy pack or a title for your character from them, no event progress.

Where can I see the achievements available and how to get them?
Either on the holiday dialog, the achievements dialog, or on the blog.

When can I do the World Wide Easter Egg Hunt?
The World Wide Easter Egg Hunt starts on Easter Sunday - April 16th - and lasts for the rest of the event.

Where do I find World Wide Easter Egg Hunt Eggs?
Once the hunt has started, you can find eggs by clicking them in many of the zones in the world. Eggs are hidden behind rocks and trees and in tricky to access locations in normal zones, secret areas, and adventure zones all over the world. Not every area has an egg hidden in it. There are 75 eggs hidden throughout the world in total, but you'll need to be done most of the content in the game to find them all.

Generation 7 Pets Now Available!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Gotta find 'em all! A new selection of cute and scaly critters are now available to be your companions!

Those weirdly random abandoned eggs scattered all over Bushwachkia have been switched up and all new pets are ready to hatch when you accept the "Find an Egg" quest from Misty. She will also have all the Generation 7 eggs available to purchase for Bush Bucks during the "Find an Egg" quest.

Other changes to Misty and Hank for Generation 7:
  • Misty will no longer let players abandon Gen 6 pet eggs that they are hatching (they're now too rare). Only current generation pet eggs can be abandoned during hatching. Please note that if you're in the middle of hatching a pet, then that egg will still hatch into whatever pet it would have been before.

  • Generation 6 pet eggs can now be found in Quester's Satchels (with the same limitations as the Generation 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 eggs, which will still be available in satchels as well.) Generation 6 pet eggs are now more expensive to buy with DNA in the PAGAS store.

  • Hank now sells a random assortment of hatched level 1 Generation 7 pets (instead of Generation 6) for Bush Bucks in his pet store.

PAGAS changes for Generation 7:
  • Generation 7 pet eggs are available to buy with DNA in the PAGAS store, once you have hatched at least five (5) Generation 7 pets.

  • The Pet Progress dialog now includes Generation 7 pets. Another 10 new pets that all players can unlock!

And now, without further ado, the information you've all been waiting for:

Generation 7 Pets:
  • Blobfish
  • Boar
  • Chameleon
  • Crow
  • Donkey
  • Emu
  • Mandrill
  • Ocelot
  • Rooster
  • Wombat

BW2: Happy Birthday Nate!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Happy Birthday Nate!

It’s that time of year again! Help celebrate Nate Dragon’s birthday by decorating the Commons for him....because no one else will.

First and foremost, whenever Nate is involved, safety becomes a priority. Find Safety Coins in the bushes and bring them to the stations in the Commons to stock up on protective gear. Turn in 10 coins at each station 50 times for an achievement. You can see the number of turn-ins you've completed at a station when you turn in a set of coins. The Kevlar Pad station is there on the first day of the event, and the Fire Extinguisher and Band Aid stations will unlock as the event goes on.

Then it seems Nate needs decorations and activities to set up in the Commons. Go out daily and find things for his party. Have fun trying out the activity stations as many times as you want!

If you're trying to get Tiny Little Arms or Just Like Nate achievements, or if you just want to have a little fun, you need to be wearing all pieces of the Dragon gear or the Nate outfit (available from the vendor's Bush Bucks store if it's your first time playing this event) while completing the 4 party Stations: Dynamite Activity, Campfire Activity, Digging Activity and the Training Whacking Activity.

If you've built the Town Hall, you can expect an fiery visitor to the party as well!

New for 2017:

We've made the Surprise Party set-up quests a little bit easier for you to navigate. Keep an eye out for the Robin with your new task daily. He also has an option to teleport to the zone where the party planners are meeting, and for the duration of the event, going to the Forest Detour won't override your current destination on your return button.

Plus, due to your overwhelming feedback, Nate's mom Elena and Natalie in the Event Zone will have daily quests for you to do as the event goes on. And be on the lookout for a new 4 part quest line later in the event!

And introducing the 100% reward for this year: lanterns! They can face either left or right for all your decorating needs! Check out the explosive Nate themed one below!

Event Achievements - POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!

There are a total FOURTEEN possible Achievements to earn in the Nate’s Birthday 2017 event:

Achievements Returning in 2017:

Safety First - You completed a turn-in at each of the Safety Stations.
Safety Inspector - You completed 50 turn-ins at each of the Safety Stations.
Without a Hitch - You helped Nate with all of his Birthday quests!
Neverending Supply - You completed all 4 of the Birthday event daily quests 3 times.
Firefighter - You put out a fire and saved a building in the Commons! [Requires the Town Hall built]
Dragon Slayer - You scared off a dragon and saved the Commons!
Surprise Explosions! - You helped organize a surprise party for Nate.

Added/Changed for 2017:

Birthday Souvenirs - You bought all the 2017 Nate's Birthday event items! *
A Heroic Gift - Help Natalie make Nate look like a hero for his birthday.

We have 5 achievements from previous year's events, which may be earned by spending some Bush Bucks, if a player was not present during the initial year:

Nate's Finer Things - You bought all the 2016 Nate's Birthday event items!
Nate's Stash - You bought all the 2015 Nate's Birthday event items!
Tiny Little Arms - You bungled each activity station while dressed like a Dragon
Nate's Inventory - You bought all the 2014 Nate's Birthday event items!
Just Like Nate! - You bungled each activity station while dressed like Nate.

*The mini-golf piece is not included in the Birthday Souvenirs achievement, and therefore it is not required to purchase it.

BW2 Very Expensive Item Store
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Hi Whackers!

Do you have a lot of excess in-game currency that you're looking to spend in a hurry? Is your ranch too full of multiple copies of gold bricks?

Good news! If you have access to the Flux, there's now a store there for you to spend your gains on! If you've expanded your Ranch to the maximum and bought all the trinkets that cost gold and gems from the General Store, then he will have an assortment of items for you to purchase.

Debuting with the release are some very cool items. For Gold, you can pick up a Statue Lock, so that Nate won't be able to change your Commons Statue to himself! As well, you can grab your own personal Glitch to place on your Ranch and choose which Flux you want to visit after a successful crop harvest.

Plus, you can assemble your very own Erika pet! Buy all 5 pieces for 200 Island Tokens each and get odds to increase the amount of Nothings you win! (Helpful for using the "Nothings turn into" Runes.)

Check out the rest of the items and drain those wallets! Plus more items will be added at a later date.

You can chat about it on the forums here!

Welcome to the Commons' Teleporter Hub!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Calling all Whackers!

Tired of opening and closing the world map to pick up quests at the Hermit's House, in Cloudland or Sanctuary, or turning in a Lock Pick quest in Port Blackwood, then popping back to the Flux?

Introducing a new and helpful way for you to get around Bushwhackia! The Commons' Teleporter Hub!

If you've built Brock's Masonry shop (to the west of the Town Hall) and are level 100 or higher, you can start building your Teleporter Network by talking to Eunice, the Port-Co representative in the Commons.

When you've completed the first teleporter station in the Commons, you will be able to seek out Eunice's friends around the world, in Quest Hubs and all the Fluxes, so that you can set up a chain of Teleporters to help out in your daily routines. Only one teleporter quest will be available to work on at a time, so it will take a few days to get it fully set up.

One of Eunice's fellow Port Co. employees, out in the wild world (well, just the Hermit's House.)

When you reach level 200, a second teleporter pad can be built in the Commons, and at level 300 you can build your 3rd pad. So depending on what quests you want to do that day, or how you want to get around, you can set a different destination for each of the Commons teleporter pads.

Plus, we've added 6 achievements relating to the Teleporters for you to achieve!

We welcome your comments and feedback on the forums.

Mount Augmentation!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Hi Whackers!

Today brings a long-awaited feature update to mounts and the ownership of them! We've added 5 new functions to Clint to help you manage your mounts, and at the center of all of them are Mount Bucks.

You can earn Mount Bucks by...

Releasing Mounts!
Too many horses from your biweekly questing for a mount and Large Energy Pack? Only want to collect one of each color? Well, now you can trade in all your unwanted mounts to Clint for some of the all-new Mount Bucks!
  • If you turn in a tamed mount, you'll get 10 Mount Bucks!
  • If you decide you no longer love one of your premium mounts and trade it in, you'll get 100 Mount Bucks!
  • The mounts received from content areas (such as secret bonus areas) or quests cannot be traded in though, but they do make nice decorations on your ranch!
Trading In Excess Feeds!
Have 100 of each of all the mount feeds you are not really interested in? Now you can trade them into Clint as well for Mount Bucks! Four small feed or one large feed will grant you a Mount Buck. You can also trade in Hay in groups of 4.

You can also spend Mount Bucks to...

Buy Mount Feed!
In addition to being able to buy premium feed for vouchers, you can also buy small and large feed for Mount Bucks. So if you're running low on Large Soybeans for example, you can pick some up with your Mount Buck collection!

Re-train Mounts!
Ever wish you could redo that last level-up of your Mount? Now you are able to buy a retry! With enough gold and Mount Bucks on hand, you can redo a level-up (or 2, or more) gone wrong, and get your mount's bonuses in perfect order!

Swap Mount Bonuses!
Are you loving your current mount set-up, but you really wish it was on your awesome Ostrich instead of your plain Black Horse? Or is today an Elephant day instead of a Momma Roo day?

Well, now for a handful of Mount Bucks, you can swap the bonus set up between mounts! It is an all-or-nothing deal though, no picking and choosing which bonuses get swapped. But it makes using the mount you adore that much easier!

We hope you enjoy this addition to the mount management system. You can post questions and feedback on the forums!
