Darkness descends upon the Crusaders, bringing with it unknown horrors and twisted new Tier 4 Objectives.

Crusaders arrive from beyond the veil: Chiyome, The Half-Blood Elf, Mindy the Mime, Mister the Monkey, and Pete the Carney have stepped out from the shadows. A new Crusader joins them.

Carnival of Sorrows 4 runs until Tuesday, October 16th at noon Pacific, and introduces Sashimi the Seal!

New Tier 4 Crusader: Sashimi the Seal

Her name is Sashimi the Seal.
She happily supports for a meal (of fish).
She finds gold for you all,
while bouncing her ball,
and this limerick is terrible.

So lets just say she's really, really good at improving your Gold Find. Like, really good.

Crusaders Return

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock previous Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Crusaders by completing their respective objectives. Chiyome, The Half-Blood Elf, Mindy the Mime, Mister the Monkey, and Pete the Carney are all once again available to unlock!

New Tier 4 Objectives

• Recruit Sashimi the Seal | Sashimi the Seal takes up a slot in the formation. Every 100 areas, an additional slot is taken up by a fish. Reach area 600.


• Out of the Crowd | If any Crusader has more than one adjacent Crusader, they deal no damage. Reach area 700.


• My Balloon! | A floating balloon takes up the front slot in the formation. If the balloon is popped, your formation wipes. Additionally, Crusaders in the column directly behind the balloon are busy trying to catch it, and deal no damage. Reach area 750.


• Cleanup Crew | The carnival janitor and some waste bins take up slots in the formation. Quest requirements are doubled. Garbage monsters spawn at random, which can only be damaged by clicking, and garbage which reaches the formation is collected BY the janitor. Collecting garbage for the janitor gives a buff that doubles quest drops. Reach area 800.


• Unleashed | Only animal Crusaders may be used. There are additional slots in the formation. Reach area 1000.

Each non-recruitment objective will drop a chest for its given tier of Crusaders, and free play will drop all-tier chests. Sasha's Schoolhouse Scourge 3 runs until Tuesday, September 25th at 12:00pm PDT, and introduces Zoraeban, Demonic Angel!

New Tier 3 Crusader: Zoraeban, Demonic Angel

He's part angel, part demon, and all brooding 90s: Zoraeban, Demonic Angel is here to do damage and chew gum - and he's all outta gum. Something of a loner, Zoraeben boasts a leather jacket and an ear stud, and he excels in the corners of the formation.

Karen, the Cat Teenager, Mr Boggins, the Substitute, Willy the Weregoat, and The Exchange Student will be available to unlock while Sasha's Schoolhouse Scourge 3 is live!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

• Recruit Zoraeban, Demonic Angel | Zoraeban is right the middle of the formation. Each Crusader adjacent to Zoraeban reduces global DPS by 25% (additive). Reach area 500.


• Band Practice | Three band members take up slots in the formation, causing various debuffs. These effects change over time or with monsters killed. Reach area 600.


• Rivalry | Your FIERCEST RIVAL, Delila, spawns randomly. While spawned, Delila reduces all gold found to 0 and speeds up monsters on screen. There can be only one Delila at a time.


• Take Wing | Only winged Crusaders can be used. Reach area 700.


• Math Class | Only Crusaders in prime slots may be used (2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23). Reach area 750.

New Tier 3 Crusader: Rosie the Rocklechaun

A small, muscly rock-leprechaun, Rosie the Rocklechaun is a tank support who turns to stone in order to tank damage, massively boosting party DPS in the process and allowing her to be healed up.

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock previous Tier One and Two Crusaders by completing their respective Tier One and Two Objectives. Ranger Rayna, Littlefoot, Penny the Park Planner, and Beary McBearFace will be available to unlock while Littlefoot's Big Adventure 3 is live!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

• Recruit Rosie the Rocklechaun | Rosie and two rocks take up three slots in the formation. Every 25 areas, Rosie randomly changes spots with one of the rocks. She decreases the damage of adjacent Crusaders by 99.99%. The other rocks are just blockers. Reach area 500.


• Landslide | Quest requirements are doubled, enemies spawn twice as quickly, deal four times damage, move eight times as fast, and have sixteen times their normal health. Reach area 600.


• Rock 'n Roll | In non-boss areas, invulnerable rocks spawn and slowly roll towards the formation. If they reach the formation, you wipe and go back an area. Reach area 650.


• Tank-it to the Limit | Only tanking and healing Crusaders, along with the Bush Whacker, Nate Dragon, and the four other Littlefoot's Big Adventure Event Crusaders, can be used. Reach area 700.


• Stratification | Reduce the DPS of all Crusaders based on bench seat, with the first slot reduced to 1/4 normal damage, the second slot to 1/16th normal damage, third slot to 1/64th, etc. Reach area 750.

New Tier 3 Crusader: First Lady Betty Smithsonian

First Lady Betty Smithsonian is a badass human Crusader buffer. Nobody can motivate troops or empower Crusader behaviour quite like her. The magnitude of her buff is increased by having certain tags in the formation.

President Billy Smithsonian, Kizlbylp, the Alien Traitor, Red, the Ace Pilot, and Slisyblyp, the Alien Scientist will be available to unlock while Alien Invasion 2018 is live!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

• Recruit First Lady Betty Smithsonian | First Lady Betty Smithsonian takes up a slot in the formation. No human Crusaders can be used. Reach area 500.


• First Contact | Only Human and Alien Crusaders can be used. Reach area 600.


• Alien Circuitry | An alien bomb takes up a slot in the formation. You must complete each non-boss area within 30 seconds or it will explode, sending the party back one area. Reach area 650.


• Strange Bedfellows | Three aliens take up slots in the formation, moving around every 50 areas and debuffing adjacent Crusader DPS by 50%. This debuff is additive, so two or more adjacent aliens will disable Crusader DPS. Reach area 700.


• Abduction | Every 15 seconds one of your Crusaders is abducted from the formation for 60 seconds. During that time their formation abilities and DPS are disabled and they are "replaced" in the formation by an extremely unconvincing robot that decreases adjacent Crusader DPS by 90% (multiplicative). Reach area 750.

New Tier 3 Crusader: Rex the Wrestler

He's big, he's buff, he's shirtless and purple-skinned: Rex the Wrestler has joined Crusaders of the Lost Idols! Rex is a male support Crusader who takes trophies from slain enemies, occasionally selling them on the black market to enable buffs for the party. And did we mention the body paint? Also we're pretty sure he's invisible.

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock our Tier One Crusaders Broot and Robbie Raccoon by completing the respective Tier One objectives. I am Broot. Then, you can collect the Tier Two Crusaders, Spaceking and Grandmora, by completing the first two Tier Two objectives!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

• Recruit Rex the Wrestler | Rex the Wrestler takes up a slot in the formation. He moves around every 25 areas and buffs global DPS by 100% for each Champion from the Gardeners of the Galaxy event in the formation. Reach area 500.


• Just Plain Crazy | Only those Crusaders with a penchant for insanity can be used: Hermit, Princess, Khouri, Merci, Nate, Pete, Momma Kaine, Kyle, Metal Soldierette, Broot, Robbie, Ilsa, Mindy, Cindy, Squiggles, Spaceking, Grandmora, Thoonoose, and of course, Rex. Reach area 600.


• Mix Tape | Enemy Cassette Tapes attack the formation, each "playing" a different song debuff. Debuffs last until the cassette is killed. All cassettes survive for at least 1 second. Reach area 650.


• Potted Garden | Three slots in the formation are taken up by potted plants, each one debuffing you in some way. Reach area 700.


• Bug Out | Bug enemies spawn randomly, and each time one is killed, it reduces the DPS of a random Crusader by 50% for 60 seconds and creates a glowing purple cloud over them. This effect stacks additively if it the same Crusader is chosen multiple times. Reach area 750.

New Tier 3 Crusader: The Holy Guardian

Ancient knight? Fallen angel? Whatever he may be, all you know about The Holy Guardian is that Crusaders closest to him find themselves healed far greater than those further away — and Crusaders further away have their damaged increased far more than those closest to him.

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock our Tier One Crusaders Montana James and Serpent King Draco by completing the respective Tier One objectives. Then, you can collect the Tier Two Crusaders, Danni the Daring Damsel and Polly the Parrot, by completing the first two Tier Two objectives!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

• Recruit The Holy Guardian | The Holy Guardian takes up a central spot in the formation and reduces the DPS of Crusaders who are adjacent to him by 100%. Reach area 500.


• Putting the "G" in Guardian | Only Crusaders with a "G" in their name are allowed in the formation. Reach area 600.


• The Crumbling Temple | A stone falls from above and kills a random Crusader every 15 seconds in non-boss areas. Every 100 areas, the stones fall 1 second sooner. Reach area 650.


• Temple of Inconvenience | Three mossy support pillars take up three slots in the formation. They move around every 50 areas. Reach area 700.


• The Last Crusade(rs) | Every 40 areas a Crusader seat is locked out. Seats are locked in order from 1-28. Reach area 750.

New Tier 3 Crusader: Thoonoose

Thoonoose is no stranger to doing damage with his enormous golden gauntlet. He is an almost titanic damage dealer, and a badass blue-clad purple alien to boot!

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock our Tier One Crusaders Metal Soldierette and Bat Billionaire by completing the respective Tier One objectives. Then, you can collect the Tier Two Crusaders, Arachno Buddy and Foresight, by completing the first two Tier Two objectives!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

• Recruit Thoonoose | Thoonoose takes up a slot in the formation. Every 15 seconds he snaps his fingers, killing a random Crusader. Reach area 500.


• Fine, I'll Do It Myself | Only Thoonoose and alien Crusaders may be used. Thoonoose's DPS is increased by 5% every area, stacking multiplicatively. Crusaders adjacent to Thoonoose increase monster spawn speed by 25% each. Reach area 600.


• Balanced | Half of the bench slots are disabled. Reach area 650.


• Battle for Crusadia | Alien monsters attack the formation in addition to normal enemies. Occasionally Thoonoose's evil brother, Thinoose, attacks as well. Whenever Thinoose is spawned, all the Alien monsters move much, much faster and deal far, far more damage. Reach area 700.


• After Credits Scene | Rex the Wrestler takes up a slot in the formation. He moves around every 25 areas and buffs global DPS by 100% for each Champion from the Gardeners of the Galaxy event in the formation. Reach area 750.

New Tier 3 Crusader: Biff the Magic Rabbit

Well looky what we have here: Biff the Magic Rabbit is an AoE DPS who tosses massive carrots at enemies. He'll be the most muscular Magic Rabbit in your formation, we guarantee it!

Note: Biff is not smarter than your average magic rabbit.

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock our Tier One Crusaders Alan the Archangel and RoboRabbit by completing the respective Tier One objectives. Then, you can collect the Tier Two Crusaders, Baenarall, Angel of Hope and Sisaron the Dragon Sorceress, by completing the first two Tier Two objectives!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

• Recruit Biff the Magic Rabbit | Biff takes up a slot and disables the DPS of adjacent Crusaders with his massive intimidating muscles. Every 10 seconds a giant carrot drops from the sky, killing a random Crusader. Reach area 500.


• Magical Companions | A magic dragon and a magic unicorn take up two slots. Every 15 seconds, a random Crusader who is adjacent to the Magic Dragon swaps places with a random Crusader who is adjacent to the Magic Unicorn. Reach area 600.


• McFly! | Only Biff and the 20 original Crusaders can be used. A nerdy looking nerd named McFly takes up a slot in the formation and slowly disappears (turns transparent) over 30 seconds. If he completely disappears, you wipe and go back one area. Reach area 650.


• Pow! Bam! Crash! | Every time a regular enemy is killed it spawns an exciting onomatopoeia monster. Reach area 700.


• Egg Hunt | The Easter bunny takes up a slot in the formation and special Easter Egg enemies spawn. Each time a special Easter Egg is killed the Easter Bunny collects it. When he has found 5 eggs he randomly scrambles your formation and then starts counting from 0 again. Reach area 750.

St. Patrick isn't the only saint on display in this year's Hermit's Premature Party event! Saint Patrokia, the Orc Nun, can be recruited as this year's new tier 3 event Crusader, after which her blessings will aid your party in conquering the four additional tier 3 objectives newly available. If you're not there yet, there are still four Crusaders from previous years to recruit, and six other objectives to challenge you. Good luck!

New Tier 3 Crusader: Saint Patrokia

Saint Patrokia is a nun-like Orcish support Crusader who blesses nearby Crusaders and is empowered by other supernatural companions.

Crusaders Return

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock our Tier One Crusaders Larry the Leprechaun and Kyle the Party Bro by completing the respective Tier One objectives. Then, you can collect the Tier Two Crusaders, Snickette the Sneaky and Squiggles the Clown, by completing the first two Tier Two objectives!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

• Recruit Saint Patrokia | Saint Patrokia takes up the central slot in the formation. She debuffs ("Beneath Me") your party's DPS by 50% (multiplicative) for each non Supernatural/Orc Crusader in the formation. Reach area 500.


• Quiet Devotion | Every 10 seconds, the DPS of your highest DPS Crusader is reduced by 100% for 30 seconds (a "Be Quiet!" debuff). Reach area 600.


• Orc-sitting | Two drunken Orc Peasants, celebrating St. Patrick's Day, take up slots in the formation. Every 10 seconds they randomly apply a "Selfless" debuff to adjacent Crusaders who offers to help make sure they're going to get home alright. The debuff lasts for 20 seconds and disables the DPS of the affected Crusader. The Orcs move around the formation every 100 areas. Reach area 650.


• Saintly Glory | Each monster killed grants a random Crusader one stack of "Glory," which increases their DPS by 20% (stacking additively). When a Crusader reaches 5 stacks, their Glory stack is replaced by an "Overcome by Glory" debuff, which disabled their DPS and Formation Abilities; during this time they cannot gain more Glory stacks. Glory stacks do not expire, but "Overcome by Glory" expires after 15 seconds, at which point they can earn more Glory. Reach area 700.


• The Orcish Pantheon | An Orc god takes up the central slot in the formation and increases the damage of Orc Crusaders by 400%. Only Orc and Supernatural Crusaders may be used. Reach area 750.

New Tier 3 Crusader: Frankie the Demon Crooner

Frankie the Demon Crooner is a debonair singer like no other: when he sings nearby Crusaders are empowered, gaining a boost to their DPS, and the more quickly monsters are defeated the greater the buffs Frankie bestows – up to a limit.

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock our Tier One Crusaders Rocky the Rockstar and Sally the Succubus by completing the respective Tier One objectives. Then, you can collect the Tier Two Crusaders, Warwick the Warlock and Katie the Cupid, by completing the first two Tier Two objectives!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

• Recruit Frankie the Demon Crooner | Frankie takes up a slot in the formation. His demonic singing disables the DPS of all Crusaders within 2 slots of him. He moves around the formation every 50 areas. Reach area 500.


• Swoon | Only Frankie and female Crusaders may be used. Reach area 600.


• Three's a Crowd | All Crusaders reduce the DPS of adjacent Crusaders by 50%, stacking additively (aka more than 1 adjacent Crusader = 0 DPS). Reach area 650.


• Lovesickness | Every area a random Crusader is affected (if possible) by Lovesickness, which disables their DPS and Formation Abilities. It lasts for 30 seconds and spreads to an adjacent Crusader of the opposite gender every 15 seconds (2 spreads per infection). Crusaders cannot be affected by Lovesickness for 2 minutes after it expires (either from spreading or from entering a new area). Lasts through area transitions. Reach area 700.


• Matchmaker | Every 15 seconds one female and one male Crusader are randomly chosen from those in the formation. Those are the only Crusaders who do DPS for the next 15 seconds. (protip: can force one pick if you only have one male or one female in your formation). Reach area 750.
