Greetings, Crusaders!

Today's update includes additional Tier 3 11th Objectives for Grimm's Idle Tales, Mischief at Mugwarts, and Ready Player Two, with rewards for each that are sure to help you push further than ever before. You can find more information about the additional Tier 3 11th Objectives below. Are you excited!? We are!

  • Wicked women and innocent ladies spawn at random.
  • Both can only be damaged by clicking.

  • Killing an innocent lady spawns an invulnerable ghost which deals high damage.
  • Reach area 1400.
  • Reward: 10% extra rubies from objective completions. Also it's retroactive, so by completing the objective, you get bonus rubies based on how many objectives you've already done.

Mischief at Mugwarts: From the Ashes

Note: this objective requires that all T3 Mischief at Mugwarts objectives are complete in addition to the Grimm's Idle Tales T3 11th objective.
  • A sorcerer and a serpent take up slots in the formation, changing every 50 areas.
  • The serpent constantly deals damage to adjacent Crusaders, except Fire Phoenix.
  • The sorcerer disables the DPS of all Crusaders except Fire Phoenix.
  • Fire Phoenix's "Evil Eye" upgrade has been replaced with "Phoenix Tears" which heals her and adjacent Crusaders.
  • All other Crusaders' healing abilities are ineffective.
  • Reach area 1450.
  • Reward: Your maximum Sprint area is now doubled. Works even if you haven't maxed out the Sprint talent yet.

Ready Player Two: Bullet Hell

  • Monsters can only be damaged by projectiles, explosions, and clicking.
  • Many monsters are replaced by ranged monsters.
  • Ranged monsters can't be damaged by clicking.
  • Some ranged monsters spawn grenades on death.
  • Grenades damage the front column of the formation for 50% of their max health.

COTLI: Introducing Taskmasters!

Five all-new Taskmasters have joined Crusaders of the Lost Idols!

Taskmasters are purchased with either Rubies or real money, and can click monsters, level Crusaders, and use activated abilities. And if you add three Taskmasters to click monsters, they'll also pick everything up for you! Awesome!

What are Taskmasters?

Taskmasters are purchased with either Rubies or real money, and can be assigned to tasks in-game like clicking monsters, leveling Crusaders, using activated abilities, and automatically progress to the next Area. Additionally, adding three Taskmasters to clicking monsters will also have the added benefit of picking up all gold and quest items instantly, helping to speed up your progression even further!
  • Three Taskmasters, Computron 9000, Yves the Butler, and Ruby the Dragon, are available to purchase for 1,000, 5,000, and 15,000 rubies each.

COTLI: Idols Through Time, Tier 4 Objectives

It's time to move through the ages again, as the Idols Through Time campaign is updated with Tier 4 versions of its objectives!

Not only do you have to tackle the obstacles introduced in the previous three tiers, but we've added these extra layers of diabolic blockers!

Idols Through Time Tier 4 Objectives

  • Don't Blink - A literal doctor takes up a slot in the formation and reduces the DPS of adjacent Crusaders by 100% while you travel to area 1000.

  • Lost In Time - The relics blocking the slots now move around the formation every 50 areas and the reductions in DPS and Gold are increased to 90%. Reach area 1000.

  • Time-Lost Bosses - When a boss is killed, now FOUR Crusaders have their DPS and Formation Abilities disabled for 15 seconds. Reach area 1050.

  • Nostalgia Trip - Only the first 10 Crusaders are available to use. The reset ability is moved to Artaxes, the Lion. Reach area 1050.

  • Echoes - Reach area 1100 with only 2 formation slots available at the end, due to the ever increasing amount of Echoes in your formation.

  • Hamstrung - You cannot use Crusaders with the Supernatural tag, in addition to the other restricted tags, as you reach area 1100.

  • The Lost World - A sedated T-rex takes up a slot in your formation and must be escorted safely to the end. Unfortunately, if you don't beat an area in under 30 seconds, he goes on a rampage and kills all your Crusaders, sending you back one area. Reach area 1150 with your cranky guest.

  • Atrophy - The damage and gold reduction is now 4% per second, as you strive to reach area 1200.

COTLI: Introducing Limited Time Challenges!

Today we're finally ready to unveil a brand new feature in Crusaders of the Lost Idols: Limited Time Challenges!

Limited Time Challenges are customized objectives that you can attempt once a week, between Tuesday at noon and Thursday at noon PST. You'll be awarded Challenge Tokens depending on how far you get, and you can use those Tokens to buy special items in the brand new Challenge Store (coming soon). This week's Challenge has already begun, so get to it! Good luck!

You can check out the Challenge FAQ below for more information, or the Challenge FAQ on the Challenge dialog in-game.

What are Challenges?

Challenges are limited-time objectives which can be attempted once a week to earn Challenge Tokens. Each week, a random objective from a pool of specially designed Challenge objectives will be chosen to be that week's Challenge. The base set of Challenges restricts you to using certain types of Crusaders, however future Challenges will provide more variety.

What are Challenge Tokens?

Challenge Tokens are awarded for taking part in Challenges and are used in the Challenge Token Store to buy all sorts of goodies, such as Jeweled Chests and week-long buffs. More items will be added over time, providing an endless supply of fun rewards to work towards.

How are Challenge Tokens awarded?

Challenge Tokens are awarded when you reset in a Challenge and are based on the highest area you reach during that run. At any time during a Challenge, you can see the amount of tokens you would receive if you reset by looking at the notification on the right, or in the Challenges window, which is accessed from the same panel as Achievements and Statistics. You can reset whenever you'd like during a Challenge, but you can only do one Challenge per week, so you should get as far as you can before you reset!

When can I attempt Challenges?

Challenges run every week from Tuesday at noon to Thursday at noon (PST). A countdown to the next Challenge can be found on the Challenges window. You only get to try a Challenge objective once per week, so once you have started a Challenge, you will not be able to start one again until the next week's Challenge is available.

Will there be a new Objective every week?

You will never see the same Challenge Objective two weeks in a row, but the same Objective can be picked again on a later week. You can start the Objective again and earn tokens again even if you've already done it for a previous Challenge. Try to beat your old scores!

What happens if I run out of time?

If you have not yet started the Challenge, it simply disappears. If you are currently on the Challenge, you will be forced to reset the world. Any progress already made will be counted and you will receive Idols and tokens as normal.

This Challenge is too hard!

If you're not getting anywhere, just go do another Objective. There's always next week! If you've not yet unlocked a Crusader who can reset, you can abandon the challenge like you would normally abandon an objective. You can abandon Challenges without any penalty. You will receive Idols and Challenge Tokens as though you had reset normally, and the cooldown timer for abandoning will not be triggered.

Updated Event: Emo's New Moon 2017

Emo's New Moon, Year 3!

Today we unveil our second Tier 3 event: Emo's New Moon! This year's event update includes a very unique new Crusader, Viktor the Vampire, whose support abilities are based upon the tags of those around him. We hope you enjoy him, and the 4 other new objectives available this year!

Emo's New Moon runs until Tuesday, November 7th at noon PST. For more information, check out the How to Play / FAQ in-game!

New Tier 3 Crusader: Viktor the Vampire

Viktor the Vampire is a buffer that converts adjacent Crusaders into vampires, granting them supernatural abilities and additional effects.

Crusaders Return

If you haven't already collected them, you can unlock our Tier One Crusaders Wendy the Witch and Jack O' Lantern by completing the respective 2015 objectives. Then, you can collect the Tier Two Crusaders, Henry, The Scaredy-Ghoul, and Fright-o-tron 4000 and Development by completing the first two Tier Two objectives!

Four New Tier 3 Objectives!

  • Bloody Mess | Every time a monster is killed, it leaves a blood puddle on the ground which slowly creeps towards the formation, dealing damage to the front-most Crusaders for 25% of their max hp. Reach area 600!

  • Witching Hour | Three witches on brooms take up three slots in your formation, debuffing the DPS of adjacent Crusaders. Every 100 areas they change positions. Reach area 650!

  • Infection | Every time you enter a non-boss area, one random Crusader in your formation gets an Infection, causing them to do no DPS and disabling their Formation Abilities. Every 6 seconds, the Infection spreads. Reach area 700!

  • Full Moon | Every 50 Areas the DPS of all Crusaders is reduced by 75% (multiplicative), except for Emo Werewolf, whose DPS is increased by 25% (multiplicative). Reach area 750!

Help! Where’s the Loot?

Equipment for event Crusaders can be found in Halloween Jeweled Chests, which you can earn from objectives or buy in the shop. Each non-recruitment objective will drop a chest for its given tier of Crusaders and free play will drop all-tier chests. Gear for the Tier 2 and 3 Crusaders will only appear in all-tier chests once you've unlocked the respective Crusader. You can select the tier of chest you buy in the shop.

You'll have until Tuesday, November 7th at Noon PST to complete Emo's New Moon this year!

Carnage Cup 2017

Put on your cleats, Crusaders! It's time for the Carnage Cup: the most violent, the most painful, and by far the most exciting hand-egg ball competition in the whole universe! Recruit all four of the Carnage Cup Crusaders, including two brand new ones, as you throw, run, and kick your way to victory.

The tailgate party is underway and now the game begins starting today and running through to February 7th at Noon PST. For those players who haven't unlocked them already, this is your chance to add both Groklok and Drizzle to your roster.

Of course, as this is a 2017 update of the original event you can also collect two new Crusaders: Karl the Kicker and Cindy the Cheer-Orc.

New Tier Two Crusader: Karl the Kicker.

Karl the Kicker takes up the same slot as Natalie Dragon and has some cool abilities in his kit bag. At level 50 Split the Uprights divides your DPS evenly between the front-most and back-most enemies (if there's only one enemy, it will take full normal damage; if two, each takes 50% of total DPS).

At level 400, Karl unlocks Play Of The Game where the back-most enemy takes an additional 40% damage (multiplicative; so front-most takes 50% of total DPS, back-most takes 70% of total DPS)

New Tier Two Crusader: Cindy the Cheer-Orc.

Cindy the Cheer-Orc has some cool abilities hidden in her pom-poms. At level 50, she unlocks Top of the Pyramid which will buff other Crusaders' DPS up to 25% per slot based on how far away they are from Cindy. At level 400 her Practice Makes Perfect ability increases the effect of Top of the Pyramid based on the area you've reached by 10% (multiplicative) per 50 areas.

After you've completed the first new Tier Two objectives for Karl and Cindy, there are three more objectives to keep you busy.

New Tier Two Objective: Flag On The Play.

In Flag On The Play referees spawn as monsters, and when they die, they throw a flag on one of your Crusaders disabling their DPS and Formation Abilities for 30 seconds.

New Tier Two Objective: Stand By For This Important Word From Our Sponsor.

Stand By For This Important Word From Our Sponsor introduces TV sets interminably promoting various products you absolutely have to own. When a TV dies, you get a random positive or negative effect for a few seconds (e.g. reduced global DPS, reduced gold bonus, increased global DPS, or increased gold bonus).

New Tier Two Objective: Halftime Show.

The final new Tier Two objective is Halftime Show. A singer and several musical instruments take up space in your formation. The singer performs for 10 seconds every 10-20 seconds. Whenever the singer is singing, the deafening noise reduces your DPS by 99.99%. When she stops, your DPS returns at a rate of 5% per second.

Equipment for both Tier 1 and 2 Crusaders can be found in Carange Cup Silver and Jeweled Chests. However, gear for the Tier 2 Crusaders will only appear once you've unlocked the respective Crusader.

You'll have until February 7th at Noon PST to win the Championship and claim the Carnage Cup trophy. Go team!
