Idle Champions: Founders' Day 8

Celebrations are underway to commemorate the founding of the Free City of Waterdeep. Founders Day attracts huge crowds to the Field of Triumph, where audiences watch illusory shows about Waterdeep's history and martial exhibitions by notable Champions and the renown city guard.

Festivities have also brought an ancient power from Avernus, first layer of the Nine Hells. A fallen angel has arrived to collect souls for the Blood War...

Tess

Tess grew up in a small village where she wreaked havoc as an amateur thief (she stole to see if she could, not because she wanted to keep the items - mostly), before her parents sent her to be trained by an aging halfling rogue named Mel. Under Mel’s mentorship, Tess became a professional infiltrator, using her skills for good. Now she’s formed her own adventuring party and is actively molding them into the heroes she knows they can be.

K'thriss

Curious, affable, and morbid, the drow heretic K'thriss Drow'b seeks the insane god-truth behind the veil of reality. As the "C" Team's hoardsperson, he keeps an eye out for occult relics that could aid him in his unearthly quest.

Flex Champions

Flex Slots allow players to unlock additional Champions and earn chests during events, choosing from a pool of retired Champions associated with the event. Free Rerolls: You gain five free rerolls to use on each set of your Weekly Offers during this event!
Auto-Blacksmith: Event Champions whose recruitment adventure or variants you complete gain common rarity equipment in all slots, if they don't already have better.
Worth Waiting For: Completing tier 2+ variants for the reworked Champion and Champions in the flex slots unlocked with Time Gate Pieces or Boon Levels awards double Chests.
Boon Enhancements: An additional boon buff at each level increases global damage based on the number of unique roles fulfilled by Champions in the formation, stacking additively.

New Champion: Tess

Tess grew up in a small village where she wreaked havoc as an amateur thief (she stole to see if she could, not because she wanted to keep the items - mostly), before her parents sent her to be trained by an aging halfling rogue named Mel. Under Mel’s mentorship, Tess became a professional infiltrator, using her skills for good. Now she’s formed her own adventuring party and is actively molding them into the heroes she knows they can be.

Tess is a Support Champion who leads by example, buffing the damage of all Champions behind her. This expert in traps has a plan for everything, increasing your formation's damage if she is given companions with a diverse set of roles. Tess can always be found with the Fallbacks' Otyugh companion Uggie nearby.

Abilities

Basic Attack

Hand Crossbow (ranged) - Tess attacks the closest enemy for 1 hit.

Passive Abilities

Uggie! - Uggie joins the party, starting next to Tess unless they're already in the formation next to another Fallbacks Champion. Uggie increases the damage of all non-adjacent Champions by 100%.

Formation Abilities

Lead The Way - Tess increases the damage of all Champions in the columns behind her by 400%.
Unleash Uggie - Uggie's buff is increased by 400% when Tess is in the formation
Snack Attack - When Uggie is with Tess, Uggie attacks a random target whenever Tess attacks or disarms a trap. Uggie's attack deals 5 seconds of BUD-based damage.
A Plan For Everything - Tess increases the effect of Lead The Way by 400% for each different role in the formation, stacking multiplicatively.
Trap Expert - There's a 5% chance when an enemy dies that they drop a Trap that Tess immediately spots. During Tess's next attack, rather than attacking, she leaps out and disarms the Trap before it can harm any of her friends. For each Trap disarmed in this way, Lead The Way is increased by 25%, stacking additively. Stacks persist through resets.

Specializations

The Fallback Plan - Tess increases the effect of Lead The Way by 150% for each unaffiliated Champion or Fallbacks Champion in the formation, stacking multiplicatively.
Eyes on the Horizon - Tess increases the effect of Lead The Way by 200% for each Champion in the formation with a ranged attack, stacking multiplicatively.
Rogues' Gallery - Tess increases the effect of Lead The Way by 250% for each Rogue Champion in the formation, stacking multiplicatively.

Ultimate Ability

Deadly Dance - Tess throws her dagger at the enemy with the most health for 1 ultimate hit, then teleports and deals another ultimate hit to all nearby foes.

11th Objectives Update and a Weekend Buff!

Have you been looking for an extra challenge? Then we have just the thing. Following on from our 11th Objectives update we've added two new advanced objectives to two campaigns. However, the rewards are worth it: Two new Crusaders can be unlocked, The Priestess of Time and Agent 79.

The first of the two new objectives is Reversion in the Idols Through Time campaign. Your Crusaders must beat area 750 but every 25 areas, your Crusaders will lose 25 levels. We didn't say it was going to be easy.

If or when you're successful, you'll unlock The Priestess of Time. She has some awesome abilities. At level 25, Time Stop freezes random enemies every 10 seconds for 20 seconds at a time. At level 600 enemies take 100% more damage!

The second of the two new objectives is Water Guns of Doom in the Amusement Park of Doom campaign. All enemies have water guns that they constantly shoot the Crusaders with. Occasionally, a big beefy water-powered water-gun toting robot appears and shields all other non-water-powered-gun-robot enemies until killed. The insane action goes all the way to area 775.

Beat the objective and you'll unlock Agent 79, a support Crusader specialising in ranged attacks. At level 100, Ricochet Training makes all projectiles have a 15% chance of bouncing and causing 50% damage to an additional monster. Better still, the ricochet can bounce up to five times if you're lucky!

At level 400, Explosive Ammo makes all projectiles explode on impact, dealing 25% of their base damage to all nearby monsters.

The Priestess of Time

Agent 79

But wait, we have more! Five Crusaders will also get a A Time to Strike weekend buff!

From today until Monday, July 10th at Noon PDT, Draco, Mr. Monkey, Artaxes, King Reginald, and Greyskull all get a limited time buff applied automatically.

Artaxes, the Lion - Roar! ability +200%
King Reginald IV - Royal Grail ability +200%
Greyskull the Pirate - Plunder ability +200%

Also, check out the limited-time Striking Jeweled Chests that contain equipment for the five Crusaders above! (Please note: The chest will only contain gear for Draco, Mister the Monkey, and Greyskull if you've unlocked them.)
